I have to say AB, I’m warming to you. I put on the uniform every day and deal with the public. Hopefully, I’m better at it than the majority of the people you seem to meet. If you’re a serving Police Officer/CEO/security guard etc, there’s definitely something to learn from your videos. Dealing with the public is a huge part of the job. Leave the ego and preconceptions at home and approach every interaction with an open mind, a positive attitude and a good understanding of the law.
@@leethelegend2418 the only person who is going to be laughing is AB at your dopey attitude, also are your knees saw from all that head you been giving ?
@@leethelegend2418 repetitive? I dont need to move to another country you dinlo, i am in a free country and i love my rights :) why would i move somewhere were the majority of people are as thick as you .. The fact you dont understand your rights makes you Weak af , i can hear your opinion and counter them with facts in this free country how silly of you. Fact 1 i have rights fact 2 your opinion is daft :) and my rights let me tell you that but your opinion seems to think it trumps my rights well if thats the case move to china i aint going to move anywhere lmfao also you can stay if you want but you will be corrected on your attitude it reeks of weakness.
My daughter was in hospital in london and i had the security guard of the building site that was on the grounds come upto me and tell me that i couldn't smoke where i was smoking. I proceeded to show him the ashtray hanging on the wall and kindly told him where to go. Really winds me up when people dont just mind their own business
I had the same situation at a shopping centre a few weeks ago, security marched up to me and demanded to know why I was smoking in the area. I showed them the bin and ashtray. I thought that would be an end to it. But no, I then got a covid lecture because I'm a dirty smoker and I'm risking my life. Needless to say, security got told to fuck off.
I was in the foyer of a public library lighting a cigarette ready to walk outside to smoke it the security guard said you are not allowed to smoke in here I said I'm not smoking it in here I am lighting it up in here it is 50 mph winds outside how would you expect me to light it outside I just walked out of the foyer of the library shaking my head 🤣😂 saying to him mind your own business and get your facts right first before you say anything 😡
Absolute gold. You can’t film through our open fencing. Well done for educating the goons. Let me know when you’re next in Oxford so I can join you on your next trip.
Security thinking they are stormtroopers wearing all that crap and their cargo trousers tucked in their boots!!!! They must be expecting ford to storm the place!!! You won’t find Mr Bean , he is far to intelligent to work there!!!
That hi-viz with the diced bands is perilously close to resembling an item of police uniform. It is also obvious the security guards have all passed their Advanced Certificate in Talking Absolute Bollocks.
🤔... A law, that obliges companies to paint the ground at the "entrance" onto their "private land" a different colour would be a great idea!! ... It would remove any doubts, or personal opinions, about where the "boarders" are! 👍
I love how he says “man” I had a Norwegian mate who said Man in an entertaining way that was a pleasure to hear. AB says the word Maaan in a similarly pleasurable and entertaining way. So much to enjoy.
Isn't it amazing that when any clown puts on any uniform they become another septic spot on the asshole of humanity, yes that's you too Mr plod, was the same in the Army. Great Vlog again btw, well handled, great you know your stuff. Knowledge is key when dealing with dickhead narcissist's.
Love it love it love it. AB you make my day mate. I laugh and laugh at your antics. You are so polite and that confuses them all. ha ha ha ha. keep well. Duncan.
"Can't hide this site, IT'S HUGE!"; "You do everything in the land?"; .. these are starting to turn into some great comedy. Just don't go too far with it, please. Some end up making me cringe, but yours are just about right.
AB you got to realise in the day of a security guard it's generally so boring 12hour days so any opportunity for them to mix it up and do something different is a bonus. I used to do security, can't say I miss it 1 bit boring boring job and you have no life. Good vid AB keep em coming please!
Taken from SIA website; Front line licence holders must: Wear the licence where it can be seen at all times when engaging in designated licensable activity unless you have reported it lost or stolen, or it is in our possession.
I hate to say this because I hate security like this but they dont have to wear it in certain circumstances and they dont have to show it you on request, they only have to show a authorised authority, police or member of the SIA. This guy should tread very carefully trying to police on public on public land. AB can also request the video the guard has under a subject access request.
@@joehh211 The certain circumstances are very limited and this circumstance is not it. They might not have to hand it to the public, but it does have to be visible (like the 2nd guard's) and the public have a right to read the details on it.
@@TheSadButMadLad Hi mate, it doesn't and they dont. Honestly if you enquire with the SIA and send them this video they'll come back at you saying it doesnt have to be visable and members of the public dont have a right to view the badge.
@@joehh211 From the home office website - "Front line licence holders must wear the licence where it can be seen at all times when working (unless you have reported it lost or stolen, or it is in the possession of the SIA). Your licence can be withdrawn or suspended if this condition is not met." Also for store detectives and others where it doesn't need to be visible - "However, you must still carry your licence on you and be able to produce it on request." It does state "Produce the licence for inspection on the request of any constable, any member or employee of the SIA or other person authorised by the SIA." but that does not preclude the public from reading the the badge. Inspection implies holding and examining the badge, the public can't get a hold of it, but they still can read it.
Thank you for all that you do in being the Data protection PUBLIC WATCHDOG for us and keeping us informed, something that the UK Govt the Police the Local Authorities and the Courts seem very keen to SUPPRESS at every frivolous twisting and turning of the Laws of the Land some Laws of which are BAD LAW.
Code of Conduct for SIA licence holders and licence applicants 1) Act with "honesty" and "integrity" This includes : - a. """"being honest with your employer, clients, and members of the public. """" b. not asking for, taking, or offering bribes; c. avoiding placing yourself under any obligation to other people who might try to influence your decisions and/or actions; d. not conspiring with someone to breach this Code of Conduct, or helping someone to breach this Code of Conduct; e. not victimising someone who raises concerns about a possible breach of this Code of Conduct and/or suspected illegality; and f. not knowingly associating with a member of an organised crime group. COVERT ACTIVITY : SIA holder does not have to display ID e.g. store detective TNX FOR VIDEO stay safe AB P.S. Vicarious liability of an employer If an employee has committed a wrongful or harmful act or abuse which was expressly authorised by the employer which subsequently caused harm and loss to a third party, then the employer will be held fully liable to the third party. (employer will deny this and SIA badge will be abused)
They MUST produce it upon request once they have ID'ed themselves (for whatever reason) as I have said above, their authority lies in the badge. No Badge = NO AUTHORITY, not that security have any more authority than any other person.
@@dansharman4944 If someone in a position of power requests or orders you to do something, you have a 'legal right' to know by 'Whom' and on 'what authority' are they acting in and to request to see evidence (ID) that they hold that position. Failing that s/he is just another member of the public. Not that a security guard has any privileged powers of arrest or any other for that matter than you, me, Tom, Dick or Harry! The badge is actually only a 3 year permit showing they are up-to-date with current regulations and health & safety, fire fighting along with the likes of conflict resolution. The last not taken by standard security if I am right. But I do know as an ex-SIA Door Supervisor that I needed it. I personally think this should be a standard in ALL policing and security.
@Violin Accordion EASY there is no code practice there fore entitled to do as he wishes , we are not in a communist country yet ! democracy allows your description , FACT
Why are you taking photographs? I cannot tell you because of the Data Protection Act. ; ) Guard: Can I ask you how long you are going to be here? AB: Yes, you can ask (tee hee) On their backs they have a sign, "plant protection team". Are they protecting the other vegetables?
They act above their station think they have a right to ask you what you're doing and what your name is bit of a joke really great film and stay safe Gribble Smith
You mean just like how the guy filming thinks he has the right to constantly ask a random security guard that he's just met to recite what the GDPR laws are? 😂
There's no obligation for SIA badge holders to present themselves to members of the public or any requirement to give either their badge or SIA registration number. Good work AB.
So he didn't want to be interviewed... But he thought it was ok to interview a member of the public. "I'm not prepared to answer your questions", as he keeps asking questions... You can't help stupid!
I'm embarrassed. The Sidewalk Stormtrooper has a Northern Irish accent, and his attitude was stinking. I'm Northern Irish, and he isn't representative of people this side of the Irish Sea....Obviously ex Forces, too....
What's with the stab vest, high leg boots and trousers tucked in? I never knew the true danger of getting a paper cut from the vehicle log sheet. Stay safe guys and don't trap your fingers on the barrier! 😆
