I look forward to all the candidates talking about real issues. 1) The immigration / border crisis (what is their plan???) 2) The economy (including funding wars) and changing federal ‘tax laws’ related to giving the middle class fairer tax incentives 3) Healthcare (including a woman’s right to choose) and 4) Common sense gun policies and increasing safety. I believe talking exclusively about one or two issues will not win the presidential race. We want to know what their plans are going forward - what should I/we expect for the next 4 years from those wishing to lead this country. Best of luck to everyone on the campaign trail…
The most serious question to ask one self is, what happens after this life? A good desire to have is becoming more Christ like and able to leave this world a better place than you found it. A womens right to choose isn't a right. Men cannot choose to have a bad decision aborted away, women can. It's a privilege. Not having sexual relations with people you're not prepared to have children with is YOUR responsibility. Forcing doctors to abort YOUR poor decision (Which the overwhelming majority of abortions are just that) is not fair. What Right's are only available to one sex? Seems pretty sexist and bigoted. Most people agree if you've been SA'd, R*ped or molested that you shouldn't be forced to go to term with that child, however that's such a small minority that the majority of Birth-Control-Abortions far outweigh the health-based abortions. Until men can choose to abort a child they don't want, women having that right is very one sided and unfair. What about the mental health of the Father? What about his financial and medical position? It's key when deciding abortions for women but irrelevant if the male wants it. Women ALWAYS get the best of both worlds. They get to vote but don't have to face a draft, they're all but guaranteed custody of kids, they're most commonly the ones being supported in a relationship and they consider washing clothes and doing dishes a few hours a week an actual job.
If you are a politician and you have a plan, people will disagree and find holes in your plan and ruin your reputation because most topics in politics are dilemmas with no fullproof solution. The Biden administration has been trying to get Congress to work together to pass a bill on the border, but they won't do it because they don't want the Biden administration to get any credit and they said so. They know as long as it doesn't get done, the naive will continue to harp on it as if you know what you're talking about. Here’s my perspective. I have a wife and two daughters and I’m tired of seeing women bullied by republicans. Not just on Roe but also in other ways like my wife works in public education and our veto proof republican legislature went years freezing teacher pay and then when they finally gave in and did some raises my wife who has 17 years of experience got an 8 cent per hour raise. Because the bigger raises went to new hires with no experience because the same republicans legislature ran off many of our teachers and created a teacher shortage. And now they are trying to fix the shortage they created. It’s to the point where my 10 year old goes to a school were ALL of the teachers that teach her grade were recruited from Jamaica and are here on a work visa. There isn’t a single American born teacher teaching her grade. Here in NC we’ve already tried a lot of the stuff these republicans are running on this election. We’ve had school vouchers that many republicans are running on this election. School vouchers are just a handout to people whose kids already go to private schools. Here in NC more than 90% of kids on school vouchers have never stepped foot in a public school. Look it up if you don’t believe me. And things were not made clear for example if you and your spouse both work and can’t provide transportation for your kids to and from school you’re automatically disqualified from using private school vouchers because private schools are not required to provide transportation. Also the best private schools that everyone who supported school vouchers wanted their kids to go to flat out opted out of taking the vouchers. Economy. I know this doesn’t apply to everyone because it doesn’t apply to my wife. But I’ve had the same healthcare job for 15 years. During Trumps presidency I got one 70 cent raise. Keep in mind Covid was going on the second half of his presidency. During Biden’s presidency my pay has more than doubled and I’ve gotten bonuses largely because insurance companies are actually paying out money now so hospitals can now afford to pay their employees better. People need to look more into how politics are playing along with the insurance industry. Florida is a prime example. Ron is in bed with the insurance industry and now Florida’s mandatory flood insurance and higher home owners insurance way more than outweighs Florida not having a state income tax. I believe this is why republicans are so against universal healthcare. Because they are in bed with the insurance companies.
