Here in Australia we called it the Mega Drive. The Mega Drive 2 was my first game console I bought for myself. I still love sonic 2. A game I played a lot on it.
There is just something about boxed Genesis games that are sooooo good lookin!!! Sega definitely had it going on with their plastic cases!!!!! Great collection with some amazing bangers!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!
Epic collection my friend! I'm beyond jealous but in saying that when it comes to the loose carts...not having them in alphabetical order would drive me nuts, I felt my anxiety go up as you were showing them lol, keep on keeping on 👍
That's a great collection. The Genesis is my favorite and those clam shell cases look great on the shelf. Lots of great stuff there and tons of fun to be had. Since you enjoy some of the newer Genesis games and home-brews have you checked out TMNT Shredder's ReRevenge? It's similar to the Simpsons SOR2 but they did more work to include a story and not just place the sprites over existing ones but actually change the animation and move sets. It's pretty cool especially if you enjoy beat em ups (and who doesn't love SOR 2?).
Fantastic collection certainly has grown . I did the same on my master system games I didn't update my app I use and whilst I was cleaning cupboards I found alot of loose master system games some I was about to order 😆
Needs more pickle juice! Lol, I joke, of course. You guys have an amazing Genesis collection and it displays beautifully! I agree that the Genesis had the absolute best packaging of any console to date. Those clamshells were built to last!
Amazing collection! I would be curious what's left on that wishlist because you already have mist of the super pricier ones! Can't wait to next week fir the start of PS1 month! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks Dan! A few that are still on the wish list...The Punisher, Alisia Dragoon, Castlevania Bloodlines, Death and Return of Superman, El Viento and Gunstar Heroes.
If you haven't already picked it up for the Genesis/Mega Drive Demons is now available on the Evercade as well. It's a really fun game and definitely worth it if you haven't already gotten it.
Think I mite a game idea for your collection never heard you mention it ciborg justice just catching up with your videos was on holiday missed this one 🙂👍
2 months ago I found Punisher CIB. $300. Went back a couple days ago when I had the $ (even though that’s stupidly expensive), they upped the price to $500. Wouldn’t sell it to me for $300 cause they “check eBay prices”. Won’t return to that shop anymore.
Street Of Rage and Golden Axe are overated. I get the hype, but just played SOR2 the other day for the first time and I've found the gameplay slow, Axel's punch was bit short and was kind of easy as I've beat it the first time I played it and I still cannot beat Final Fight on the SNES and I've try dozens of times over the decades. 😅 Couple of time during the game throught I got a bit bored for short moment before getting pumped up again. In fact, I found that game ABUSE repetition of bosses as regular ennemies or midbosses. I'm always aware that I gonna get some repetition of sprites with color swape too when I play a SNES or Genesis beat'em up. First, there's a couple of bosses that when I've beat them I was surprise it was the boss ! It was a weird feeling because when I was fighting them I was not in my proper "Hyper Accute Fighting bosses mode" and it was like the game was stealing this feeIing from me and it was very anti climax. And second, about the repetitions, many times I was like "Come on! Seriously! Again!" And the top was when the boss of the stage was 2 of the bosses/ennemies we've seen many times before. That was it. One of the most overrated 16 bits beat'em up of its era. I was playing and thinking "thoses damn Sega Kids they had so less to hold on to when Final Fight on the SNES got out that they decided to elevate the SOR serie as a Godlike gameplay experience to try to stir jealousy off the Nintendo kids with their one player only Final Fight. Ahah I was enjoying my thought process while playing, thought, if it means something. We got to enjoy our own thoughts. Thanks for reading! 🙂
