I think you might be my favourite Sekiro player on RU-vid. You're not trying to get "No-Damage" Runs, which lead other players to become passive and uninteresting to watch, but you are actively attempting to teach your viewers different strategies for these dangerous enemies. Plus, the black and gold Sekiro wears is fantastic.
I was wondering why he stopped doing the Lightning Reversal, then I realized that he takes chip damage each time he does it so he didn't have the luxury to do it. This is so brilliantly calculated that I'm in awe.
I defeated isshin a few times now and he isn´t the "undefeatable" foe anymore that he was when i faced him after my first walkthrough. However, i can´t imagine fighting him with base vitality, no additional attack power and some skills that increase posture damage on him. Honestly, i got the fight down pretty decently but i can´t wrap my head around being that consistent for 18 minutes. Every deflect and dodge was on point. No matter how well i fight him, there will always be a moment where i am sure i hit deflect but for some reason i fuck it up or i press mikiri counter but i get stabbed anyways. Remarkably well played dude.
Holy fuck, at 14:07 you start running but the four shots attack just doesn’t happen. A couple seconds later Ishiin shoots in the middle of a completely different combo and you still perfect parry 3 of them and dodge the last. That was so cool!
That sick timing to use invincibility frames while dashing to dodge the aoe attacks,hats off wud lyk to see u add separate screen with ur controller while playing as well,kudos
Masterful fight, and one thing I would like to add, if you rush Iishin after he does that retreating spear sweep and pulls out his gun, if you close the gap quickly enough (specifically, if you deflect the retreating spear sweep and immediately rush him down after that), all of his shots will straight up miss if you start hugging him because they start at the end of the barrel of his gun, allowing you a few free hits.
This video awakened something in me because... I finally beat these guys! I had to drop this game all those years ago for my sanity, but since I watched this video, which was a lot, everything became easier. I wasn't perfect like this, but I managed without resurrecting.
Omg @ONGBAL you're mastery of Sekiro is just beyond understanding, that proves the commitments and love you have for the game there is a point where i thought it was like AI vs AI Hats down dude !! I seriously think that Miyazaki-san and From Software guys needs to see this !!
@@_ONGBAL It's okay, it would be exactly the same but longer. No need. Great job! This not only shows absolute mastery of this boss, but you coaxed out some moves from all four phases that I've never even seen. Lots of mixups.
@@_ONGBAL It is doable but takes a lot of practice to just keep it going so long, a big issue at times is the dodge through on lightning sinc the hitboxes for it are pretty weird if doing no hit no damage. I do this No Hit No Damage NG+7 Charmless Demon Bell but with upgrades, so in essence it would be a way longer version but still doable. I need to make a new save file to rotate to have an NG+7 Charmless Demon Bell one for practicing no upgrades but it does seem like it will be a slog and might be actually a bit boring to watch with how long it'd be. Very nice play in this video by the way. I usually don't see people going for the Ichimonji with a Dragonflash follow up deflects.
Jesus. That was the great figth with Saint Isshin of all time. Damn,he not use prostethics,perfectly moving,and deflecting every attacks,and.. uh soo amazing!! I await very interesting to my fight with Isshin NG9 Attack Power 1 :) :D
What is this, I only get recommended this after a year it was posted what?! Where was I? Oh yeah your skills. Again your timing in parrying and attacking with learning how to dodge using I-frames is so slick it looks like a figure skater moving on ice. Elegant, Perfect, and Admirable. I want to try doing a base run but I can still use prosthetics and upgrade, I just can't buff my Health/Posture and Attack power but I'm only 14 so it's still a longshot before I can get to your level. Oh well, Gotta start somewhere right? Lastly, Keep it up dude you inspire a lot of people to improve in their skills on Sekiro and I'm one of them. You also make a lot of people happy with your dedication and attention to this game when playing. One day master, One day I will be able to get to your level of skill.
Just realized you're baiting the quickdraw-sweep attack by dashing forward. Never figured out the difference between triggering that attack vs his Asshina Cross, thanks.
J know this is done on pc but are you using a game controller and if so what kind of controller. I ask cuz I'm on ps4 and my reaction time with my controller is not as accurate. But I'm not going to stop until I can parry like a champ.
It's that time for me now. Trying to beat Isshin and beat the game for the first time. I'm about 1 hour in. I think I can parry almost anything now but what mostly destroys me on a regular basis are his Ichimonji Doubles in phase 1. I just don't know what to do against those. When I make it to phase 2, even with perfect parrying, my posture is just gone before he does a Mikiri-countarable attack for some reason.. I'm not good at lightning reversal just yet, but I hope to just use those + mortal draw for an easy phase 3. But yep, all in all I like this fight. Seems MUCH more fair than Demon of Hatred which I ended up cheesing because I never was able to deal even 10% damage to his health, let alone even reach phase 2.
Hey, how do you time your dodges and deflect when Isshin charges his Ichimonji, Dragon Flash and the powerful zone attack with spear perfectly? I've been struggling to deflect or dodge those powerful attacks even up to ng+3.
That would just make it take another 10 minutes. It would be phase 2 again with slightly more dodging to avoid the lightning. There'd be no point to it.
