In mid-October of 2022, I took a train ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad (first time) on its full course between Utica and Tupper Lake in upstate New York. It was a long trip (about 10 to 11 hours round trip, I think it was a little over 100 miles each way, plus a short layover in Tupper Lake, NY), but
overall, I had a wonderful time onboard the dome car and saw some nice scenery that can only be accessed via rail.
I shot the videos with an old camcorder that I have been using for about 7.5 years (the lens died the following day while doing some railfanning on the CSX Mohawk Sub before heading home) and the DJI Osmo Pocket 2. The picture quality may not be the best, but I did my best to select the footage from both devices and put them together. Also, I was hoping on getting a seat on the left side of the train for the sole purpose of lighting, but I was assigned a seat on the right side.
