I'm not gonna say if she's good or bad, but her voice fits her songs. You couldn't have Adele or Demi sing Hands To Myself. Selena's is great for her types of songs. Then again, she couldn't sing songs like Dangerous Woman or Hello like the artists do.

Shes famous for more than her singing. People keep up with her because she selena gomez, and her songs are catchy. She's a personality, and people have seen her on TV and in the media sing she was really young. She might not be the best singer but you have to realize people like the music and selena gomez. Plus I thinks she sounds good in her music.

I think the obsession of hitting high notes made us forget that music is not all about that and we just can't appreciate the different artists and their work. Sure Selena is not the best. But some of her songs are actually good. She has a very soothing style. And I think she really improved her vocals over the years.

Selena has a beautiful unique voice. Very seductive, soft & relaxing. She has a wide range of tones...just hypnotizing. No everyone likes high note singers or those that scream a loud. Nope, I prefer to chill to relaxing music. NO ONE LIKE SELENA, sorry. Idc what people thinks.

In my opinion, it doesn't sound like she's really singing. She was sort of off key, and just sounds like she's raising her voice and whispering at the same time???

Sometimes she is okay but whenever she tries to hit a high note or to sing a bit more it's sounds horrible. I'm sorry she should stick to acting

She has a beuatiful voice rather than high-pitched voice. Don't forget she has LUPUS so she can't hold her breath for a longer and thus, doesn't has high vocals. But her voice is low and beautiful and so peaceful that can calm any body, mind and soul. And also don't forget, music isn't all about high vocals but about entertaining people and make them move on your song which I don't think any other singers can do. See how she maintains her low voice which any other singer barely does. You can sing everyone's song like them but just try once to sing Selena's song, you won't be able to, cuz she has got a different and the best voice. I repeat, I'm talking about VOICE not VOCALS.

There are some points where she sings really well, and some where she doesn't. Not everyone can sing perfectly every time, and honestly, most of today's pop singers can't sing to save their lives. At least she loves what she does.

Why all the comments comparing her to Ariana? You don’t need to be able to reach the highest notes to be a good singer. Ariana and Selena are two completely different types of singers. Ariana has a very strong, powerful voice which makes it easier for her to perform. Selena however, has a very soft voice and finds it difficult to sing powerfully. Even though the examples in this video aren’t the best, it doesn’t mean she can’t sing. If you go watch her acoustic version of ‘who says’ her voice sounds really beautiful. Also don’t forget that Selena has anxiety and lupus which can affect her singing on stage. Edit: I’d completely forgotten about this comment until today and I was reading thru the replies and some of y’all are so mean :( I never said selena was the best singer, but she has some really beautiful performances. For all the people sayig that they can sing way better than her, well, don't forget that when you sing live onstage, your voice will sound alot different than when you sing alone in your own room because of the microphone and the echo. Selena shouldn't be singing at concerts. She doesn't have a special voice, can't reach high or low notes, she has an average voice. I can understand that some people can like her voice because it's not awful or a complete disaster, and she has a lot of producers who make "good" music, but that doesn't mean she should be a singer. There's a lot of people who are more talented that her and no one pays attention to them because they are not as pretty as her, and they doesn't have a Disney career. I took singing lessons since I was 4, and for someone who has 15 years of singing lessons, like me, knows when someone is out of tune, when they don't know how to breathe and that if you had lupus, you shouldn't be jumping and singing (because she is not dancing, she is jumping). She doesn't breathe with her all her lungs, she sing with her chest and throat, and that's a huge mistake. Also, she has a range of an octave and a half, when a good singers has a range of three octaves or more. So to any Selenator who thinks she is a good singer, she isn't. She just can sing. Period. That doesn't mean she should be a singer. She should be an actress. That's what she have been studying for years. You can like her music but that doesn't mean she is a good singer. Miley, Ariana, Adele, lady Gaga, Beyonce, Shakira, etc, they are singers. Good singers.
