This song was written by Ricky Vela one of Selena's band members (the guy wearing glasses playing keyboard) he wrote this song about Selena's older sister Suzette. He had feelings for her but she ended up marrying someone else. You should listen to the spoken liner notes in Selena's albums, they tell stories about the songs/album.

One of the saddest and beautiful Spanish songs ever ..... It's just too much to translate 💔😭 but it's basically her accepting her lost in the relationship and wishing him the best because her love is that strong towards him not caring if they call her crazy.

From what I've heard, Ricky Vela, who was a song writer/keyboardist in Selena Y Los Dinos, had a serious crush on her sister Suzette(Drummer in the group), so he wrote this song in dedication of her.This song had a lot of real emotion attached to it.It was basically a love letter.I read Selena cried while recording it.

The song is basically about the guy leading her on and making her believe that he loved her and they had a future together, and then he ghosted her and broke her heart, but she still loves him so she's reminiscing about what she thought was something special, but still wishing him the best while accepting that he won't reciprocate her love, "No me queda más" would translate to "I Have No Choice". Wow, i even remember some interview/behind the scenes of this video before she released this single back in like '94, shortly before she died, this brings back memories in a crazy way, also crazy how she was about to cross over big time and then with her death ironically she became a legend. She had such an impact even on Jennifer Lopez's career, another cool reaction :)

Now I can’t listen to dreamin of you without starting to cry. She has a wonderful statue in her honor in Corpus Christi called “over look of the flower” too it’s really cool google it. I can’t really listen to her music anymore. It brings me too much pain. I was such a huge fan when she was alive and I was in the car when the radio announced her death. My aunt was driving and almost crashed the car. We couldn’t believe it and just couldn’t stop crying. 😞 I miss Selena every day and wish she was still with us.

Many people speculate that Selena was on course to be as big as Micheal Jackson in terms of stardom. She was already huge in Mexico and the Tejano scene in the states. She was just starting her English crossover in the US. The US loved her as well, and she was taken before her career could really skyrocket. She would have easily eclipsed all current female artists in terms of pure vocal ability and stage presence. She was a once in a lifetime lightning in a bottle that was ended by a useless woman in a fit of jealousy and greed.

You should review /react to Buenos Amigos from Selena. It's a Duet she recorded with Alvaro Torres. It displays her incredible vocal talents so beautifully. Just 👌🏽 I also recommend the new series about Selena on Netflix produced by her sister Suzette. It does into much more detail about her life and the details of what led to the unfortunate tragedy that still infuriates me. But it's very good. Christian Serrato's did a beautiful job portraying her. She really captures her essence.
