I can't believe this channel is so small yet. RU-vid needs more content like this, it's way more important to talk about psychology than all the engineering stuff about playing, recording, mixing and adding bells and whistles

I see two modes of composition: one in which I decide to create, where everything spoken in this video is crucial to observe and will yield great satisfaction. The other mode is where...got this music in my head rewarding me with inspired tunes and expanded knowledge of my instrument, if only I would get it out into the air. These tunes don't originate with someone else, but when asked who wrote that, I have a real hard time saying: me. They're way better than what I can write, and when I perform them I'm concerned about representing the composer's intention or, better yet, summoning the presence, kind of like Music playing me and who cares what I think cuz Music is here, she's here and melting my face off as I play 😃 and I just want to serve everyone 🙏

Well said. Often I find the more time that passes between a composition (especially one that seemed to appear out of thin air) the more my ego will try to claim it, or poke at it with a stick of judgment!
