I really like seeing updates on this project but these videos aren't fun to watch. I'm sorry if you want to ignore these comments but my feedback is that the commentary is too long for what the content of the video is and a lot of theses videos have barely anything going on in them. I think a lot of us would much prefer to see 3 days of work condensed into 1 video by this point. I get it, you want to post a lot for the RU-vid algorithm to pick you up more but these aren't good.

You have incredible talent, and I'd love to hear more about DIY (its too rushed at the moment to be able to gain anything from it) and making money.

Honestly I did agree with you when watching the last few. And I dislike the 'buy my course' rubbish. However after watching this video, I do feel he was showing the stress and struggles he went through, and is indirectly inspiring us that we can do well if we want to make that our destination. So I feel there is certainly a lot of padding, a lot of sales and 'for the algorithm' , however as far as being interesting, showing progress and giving bits of knowledge and advice... He's certainly doing it !

This episode is the last ill watch for a while. Nothing is happening and it just feels as though youre post because you have to, to make your own goal rsther than create content worth watching. Its just 8ish minutes of you faffing around and selling your substack and complaining about your corporate job etc.etc.etc.etc. Ill come back in 10 days and see if youve made progress or are just talking more waffle

No DPC. No insulation. Bridging between structure and soil. This thing will rot in about a year max. This is a stunning example of the dunning-Kruger effect. I’m not saying the guy doesn’t have rudimental knowledge on how to do diy and woodwork but there are some Glaringly obvious mistakes being made which highlight a lacking understanding of building fundamentals. This whole channel is so fishy it’s unreal.

Sorry to say this bud, but given your timeline and what you need to do in that time, you basically did nothing today, and not much yesterday either. If I were you, I would get your plumping lines and insulation in immediately, that way you will at least have a toilet that will not freeze when you install it. Routing for you, but you need to crack on.

I think you completely misrepresented my comment. I too am recently retired and I have done my fair share of reno work as well. I don't care what he does, but 'if it were me', I would worry about a lot more then a sunken tub and get the place insulated and the utilities working. That was my point. As I said... I am routing for him, but he needs to crack on. @@cynthiabroockman1752

Sorry to say mate, but whilst i enjoy watching thr graft you put in, i have to mute the monologues you do, i get you're trying to be motivational but a lot of your recent stuff seems to be rants about the corporate world and how you may have been mistreated in the past.. totally got it once i saw a couple of your vids but you kind of need to pack it in and actually talk about the graft itself and make it more relevant to the video, it gets jarring hearing you ramble on about corp life etc.

Yes, no mention of a soakaway, how he's going to drain this deep bath, what utility connections he has to the site. I did all this with my house renovation years ago and planned everything meticulously using autocad, down to electrics and pipe routing. No mention of either yet, but keeps mentioning how experienced he is. Tell us about these things instead of the failed A levels and former 'finance job'. 🤔🥱

@@olegjanas and the waste bathwater. A soakaway needs to be 5m away from the building if I recall correctly and considering it is located near a waterway, that may prove problematic.

Been watching all along & enjoying but starting to agree with others…hard lesson I have learned on flips: ‘do it right or do it twice’. Insulate/vapor barrier under the house & as nice as those skylights look, you will kick yourself for not installing windows that will open if you actually intend to live in it. I’ve redone my own work, it sucks but nip it in the bud before you get further into it

The marine grade ply will have to be sealed before you place it in because over time it to will degrade if you don’t seal it ( epoxy , marine grade epoxy paint , etc) but please seal it first very important part

I'm Head of a Sixth Form and you are spot on about Maths at A Level - you HAVE to work at it. I've seen people who cruised through GCSE doing poorly at A level because they don't constantly work on their Maths and thought they could continue on 'natural ability'. The student in my school who got the highest grade last year sat and studied Maths every free period (she only had a 7 at GCSE, but converted to an A at A Level). Really enjoying this series about the tiny house - I'm about to buy a do-er upper victorian house in Manchester, admire what you're doing here!
