Nice job Alejandro, let's say your pins are set and the heights are all over the place, is there a general rule on where to set the gauge rake height?

Thanks for the question. At that point a gauge rake isn’t effective because of the various heights. Pour until the pins are gone and manuever/break the surface tension with the smoother. If anything, if there is a minimum to be capped on the high areas, it can be used there to maintain a 1/8” minimum.

Quick question Can a do a skim coat first on a concrete subfloor (basement) and then apply primer for self leveling? Hope the question make sense
