Absolutely beautiful! I never liked the term self-sabotage myself. When I was knee deep in healing, I felt strongly it was both my intuition and nervous system wanting to go through a more gentle process "out" of the stuck feeling I felt for so long.

@@_TheDigitalDojo I'm loving your videos! And I appreciate you talking about epigenetics too! We have a son on the spectrum and I absolutely see all the inherited trauma down to our son. He's here saying, the cycle ends here 💙

@vaniafrankhealer that means a lot, thank you! The epigenetic piece is fascinating, isn't it??!! And it sounds to me like *you* are also saying the cycle ends here, especially from the work you're doing. Part of what I'm loving about the inherited piece is that it gets clearer and clearer to me how it's not "here's what I've done to mess up my children" but rather "here's how much it matters to me that this lesson gets learned so that I and they all stay safe." Taking the blame and shame out of it is one of the most important things, I'm finding. Which it sounds like you're doing already with your work!

@@_TheDigitalDojo It really is and it makes so much sense too. It is the work I've been doing to break through layers and layers of shame and blame. But I find that there are periods when symptoms with my son are flaring and shame creeps in. I can see it now and hear the thoughts it wants me to believe. I know to come back to presence and stillness so that I can hear the voice that *knows* the truth. Thank you for your videos and bringing awareness to al this :)

@vaniafrankhealer thanks for the great conversation around this! Shame (as you know) is a sneaky thing, and tells you lots of things - but it certainly doesn't tell you the truth. I love that you have ways to get back to the truth, and it's wonderful for your son to have a mother who knows how to get there.
