I think he never changed the oil and ran it without checking the oil level 'till it was almost out of oil. I think he tried changing the oil after the engine was damaged. I didn't see any dirt on the oil drain bolt nor anything the skid plate would've covered. I think he left the skid plate off after he tried to drain the little oil that was left. Adding new oil didn't help the damaged engine to run, so he sold it... Whatchu think?

You might be able to get oversized bearings and have the crank ground. I would have the block and cylinders checked for squareness just because it’s so low miles to have that failure unless you can get the guy at admit to running it without oil. If your going to put that much in it finding out the cause would be a wise move. I’d also check the price of a remanufactured engine or long block vs all the parts.

That sucks it wasn't an easier fix. It's cool too see how you diagnose and find the issue. You can sometimes do the screw driver trick threw the spark plug hole to find bad rod bearings. You just put the screw driver in lightly resting on the piston and turn the engine over by hand and watch your screw driver go up. The moment you see the screw driver start going back down(on down stroke of piston) stop turning over the engine. Then if you push on the piston with your screw driver you can feel it pop down if the bearing is bad. It's just a quick easy way to check it without tearing down the whole engine.

Fuel pump. It sounds like the same issue I had. My 2018 Hisun 500 UTV had it fail at 100km., a year later and out of warranty. Took it to a Hisun mechanic shop that claimed to know what they were doing, after 3 weeks with them and $150.00 later, for nothing (and if did pay them they would not release it to me) they could not figure it out. I took it back home and figure out the issue myself. After replacing the entire fuel pump assembly, it runs great.

@kennethh.566 Год назад
Top end looked dry when you removed the valve covers. After opening the cylinders I see you found what looks like bearing material. My guess, without watching all the video yet, is the oil pump went and it spun/ate the bearings. Bad oil pump would explain dry top end and no material in the new oil...it's not pushing oil through the motor so no metal makes it into the pan/new oil.

I have the same machine. It is also a 2013. Yours should of came with a windshield and a rear winch and ball combo. That's all factory standard equipment. I took my dump bed ram out and fixed the box to the frame so I could put a jump seat in the back. Now I can carry 4 and not be as long as the factory 4 seater that is as long as a limo. lol Funny that even being the same model and year there are some differences. My battery is located under the passenger seat , not under the hood. Your roof lights are round and mine rectangular. Could be because yours has the sport sticker setup and mine is camo, not sure. The only trouble I've had so far is busting off the rear bumper and breaking a tie rod end but that was me playing smash up derby and the tie rod making it fly through the air. lmao! Hope you get her all fixed up again. Your motor is baked :( . Yes it is a knock off but for what I paid new and all the standard options it has it was the best model for me.

Hi 2vintage, I just started bike flipping and started on a 2 stroke pw80. It’s got an automatic clutch, I don’t know if that’s important, anyway. I got it with an idling problem, so I adjusted the carb and it idles well once you kickstart it, but the moment you’ve taken it for a ride, it doesn’t idle in neutral or in gear. I had the idle screw near closed and when I did that it idled in gear and in neutral but the idling was too high, so you maybe know what it could be? I took a lot of tips from your videos and that’s how I was learnt how to adjust the carb but I don’t know what the problem could be or if it’s still my carb settings. Thank you

@@zillobeast5257 Because hardly anyone with no mechanical knowledge would know how and engine works and what heads are on an engine, never mind actually taking it apart and physically looking at the heads. Point is, justin is right, this guy had plenty of knowledge of mechanical stuff, so 2vintage is going to pay the price for it now. For only a 100 hour and 1000 mile machine, this sounds like a bit of a "Story" if you know what I mean. I am surprised and bothered by manufacturers who use Plastic Parts when they should use metal. It tells me the manufacturer doesn't really care about the reliability or longevity of their products. Just sell them to unsuspecting customers and move on. Seems like they would care about reputation, and to have Word of Mouth Sales take place because of the quality making the item a good purchase for the Customer, who then tells their friends. Instead, people watch this video, see the cheap parts and the consequences of having such cheap parts. Sure makes me want to go out and buy one just like it. Not!

The body is a copy of the Yamaha side by sides. I had a 760 Yamaha and my BIL bought one of those and tried to convince me it was the same. He found out different when I spent my time riding mine and he spent all his time working on his because it never ran more than two days in a row.

When I did research on odes after seeing tons of them on marketplace for cheap I came across alot of people who said they are good machines until the engine goes. N the engine will go, hours n miles don't matter. The engines were really cheaply made, example that plastic timing chain tensioner. This is definitely one of those instances where you wanna get the good parts for the rebuild, but it wont be worth it if its just a flipper

I admittedly know very little, but what’s the chance that the head gasket blew and then they installed the one piston wrong on rebuilding the engine. That seller is lying, and why was there very little oil in the engine but a lot of coolant in the engine, can’t wait for next video on this rebuild. Cheers go have a beer

That cvt clutch cover pushing against the clutch and crankshaft is probably what wrecked the engine. I wouldn't be surprised if you remove the crankshaft and the find that the main thrust bearing is wrecked from taking that side load. Notice how the engine turned over so much better when you took off the clutch cover.
@MrATOMBOMB420
@MrATOMBOMB420 Год назад
The covers only plastic the clutch just would have ate its way through almost every time I pull the clutch cover off a CVT machine it's always got a little bit of where the clutch has touched the plastic cover there's no way that the plastic cover would put enough sideload on the motor if anything it would screw up the main bearings not the rod this bike is like a car alls you have to do is unbolt the rods from the crankshaft put a new bearing in their use plastic gauge to check your clearance and bolt it all back together this machine doesn't even need the crankcase disassembled to replace rod bearings probably the only really good thing about it

I don't think it rolled over any easier I think he may have had a different booster pack on it as he does have a small lithium one and the bigger lead acid battery one I'm not going to disagree that yes it wasn't making the scrubbing sound after he took the clutch cover off but it's a fairly common thing I know in an ideal world yes the clutch should never touch that plastic cover but I think we all know this is not an ideal world all's it really would have done is made us cuffing sound or even a louder noise but it will not cause your bearings to fail on your crank
