What I do with my brush piles is put a section of well casing so it ends in the middle of the pile, or near it, with the end sticking outside. Then I put a section of old aluminum downspout into the well casing. Then attach a leaf blower to the downspout. You'll burn up a pile like that in the first hour. It's astonishing how much that speeds up the burn rate. And it'll incinerate those stumps too. I've melted steel in a pile before. The ash will get so hot it will fuse into a crude form of glass. But it will throw sparks, so you can't leave it unattended. Worth the price of admission though. :)

I'm not so sure the local fire company would agree with you were that fire to get out of hand. Mike is probably smarter than most people, but there are folks, (ones that like "firers") who would start that same fire on a dry day with a 20 MPH wind.

Really enjoyed my coffee, Mike, with this video. There is something about a crackling fire, that is just built in our DNA, love it. The solo, the grill, the fire places, or just just a simple brush pile. Some people wonder why do i like Channels, such as Outdoors With The Morgans, well First, to me, they are a family that Lives the American Dream. The family works together, and it draws me. If you would have asked me 5 years ago would i be interested in a channel that cuts fire wood, uses a sawmill to make lumber, and various forms of equipment to do projects, i would have laughed. I have said this before, and i'll say it again, out of the 1200+ channels i subscribe to, your #1 "Out Doors With The Morgans", to me, it is not only a Norman Rockwell Photo, it is a Norman Rockwell continuing video [movie], of how lofe should be with ALL Americans, perhaps how life used to be lived before all the govt help, and i look forward each day, i know sounds kinda sappy, but i am not prone to lie, or keep my feelings silent. Thanks Mike for the Millions of folks that have enjoyed your videos, it is well worth the effort, and gives us Hope that ALL American Folks are not bad, many good ones are around >thanks :) 💯🙏

I really like hearing what the Morgans have to say and enjoy seeing what they are up to. I have run so much equipment in my life, it makes me blue in the face, I do not enjoy watching it working. I do like seeing what the new stuff can do. (I like the reviews) So I skip threw this part hoping I do not miss anything Mike and Melissa have to say. Anyhow it is a me problem and they do a good job, I have sure people love watching it work. BTW Yes, grading out a lot is deceiving. many people do not realize how being a inch or to off eats up material and time. Road-Graders make it look easy, But a Skid-Steer, you better be paying attention to your grade or you will lose a lot of time getting it right. I bet Mike is getting a little bit a settling with the rain as well.

G’day Mike, Wouldn’t it be more cost effective for you to buy a quick release 360 degree rotating head for you kubota digger, rather than the huge outlay for the Avant articulated loader? As in the hands of an experienced operator would be an asset, not only so there would be know need to be in and out of the cab to change bucket pins, but would make the majority of your attachments more universal. Just an observation. Keep up the good work, love the videos! keep up the good work

At 10:34 of the video , on the left you can put a building , spanning the start on the ravine . A entrance at the front and an exit at the rear . You can still go around it like you do already down the lane leading out to the clearing . Start on solid ground on both ends and drive pylons so you can build over the ravine .

Back in Illinois before I retired to Florida I had a Ford tractor, a two bottom plow, a cultivar and some other attachments that I sold to a guy who hauled it all on a very small trailer where the tongue was almost hitting the ground. Gutsy in my eyes. Now I wish I had the two bottom plow but people are so crazy that are selling them, that I won't spend the money. Most of the ones I've seen are missing some of the parts. So I will do without. When I bought my tractor the dealer asked me what kind of tires I wanted and decided on regular tractor tires.

Hi Mike. That Avant got me thinking..........lol. Anyway, here's a suggestion. Get an old furnace blower and mount it on a hand truck. Then use it to "supercharge" your burn piles. You won't believe how much the extra oxygen accelerates the combustion. If you want to test it, just hit your burn pile with your leaf blower. But stand back! 😊 Shalom/gw

Different parts of the country definitely do things differently. Rather than a burn pile that takes a long time, why not a large commercial wood chipper that can easily be fed by an excavator or the Avant. Benefits are you can use or sell the mulch, along with use it anytime anywhere without concern of fire.
