I'm from Somalia but lived and raised in Ethiopia 2003 Bole specifically I had fond memories of Ethiopians we are brothers and sisters. You have to know that no Somali who lived in Africa hates Ethiopia it is only exclusive to those in Europe and North America . I always tell them how Ethiopians are different from the government and that the government doesn't represent the kind people of this country. I have deep love for my second country. I also congragulate you for overthrowing the TPLF regime and hope that Abiy becomes the reformer we all hope him to be.
I am an Ethiopian from Addis, presently residing in Europe, the Somali people are our sisiters and brothers we should welcome them, this will enable to alleviate the mistrust btw. the two people and strengthen the bond for a lasting peace.

One of my friends asked me "He said I don't understand why Somali hate Ethiopians" I told him it's just political propaganda. He is right there is a lot of hate all over the internet. But if I met Somalian in reality we just show respect and become friends.

who told you it is an Iranian culture. the problem is , you could not hide your bigotry towards the Somali and other Ethiopian Muslims who are the majority of this country -- so they don't need to import culture from any other country -- therefore, it is very important that you respect people.

I remember Bola in 1998 and it has changed a lot even so it was kind of affluent it never had this much business and the people were friendly apart from bit of racist bullies and some habesha elders who use to in courage the bullying But I have to say 99 percent of the habesha people were friendly and I felt most of the time i felt welcomed just like I was around a somali people witht out the same language

Why didn't you mention the fact that the entire bole michael economy is dependent on Somalis? A shitty and small room in that neighborhood was 2500 +birr when i was there three years ago. Not to mentions the thriving and taxpaying various businesses all over the place. Somalis aren't a burden, quite the contrary, somalis are a healthy source of revenue for Bole and addis in general. And yet, ethnic somalis are grossly mistreated and constantly harassed in Addis, specially in Bole and Megenangna areas. I've lived there for about two years and I've witnessed first hand what goes on in there. The thing that always amazed me was the level of pettiness and narrow-mindedness of the Habesha people in these areas. Never in my life have a seen an entire street of people, including bystanders, elders, youngsters etc, ganging up and beating on a somali kid just because he was arguing or fighting another habesha for whatever reason. All you hear "belew, mitaw inatun...etc!", none of them will try to stop the other. And what's worse is that the police will turn a blind eye and look away as if nothing is happening! What a pathetic losers they are! Meanwhile, habesha's live freely and safely in virtually all somali cities like JigJiga, Hargeisa, Bosaso etc...
Can y’all like take a chill pill. Humans are humans regardless of race or ethnicity. Why can’t we all move on from the past and live in the future ? Why can't we just love eachother instead of hating and downgrading eachother?
