This is not a complete description of the procedure. The wired boom mic needs to be secured inside the helmet. Kind of incredible they skipped over that part of the installation.
The reality is that the C3 or any Schuberth flip front, does not take the Sena attachment well at all and Ive tried all ways. The clamp: To fit and re fix the neck roll properly you really need to remove some stitching from the neck roll wide enough to get the clamp through. That means slicing the stitching and then sewing either side back up. Once done refit the neck roll and fit the clamp. Even then as tight as you fit the clamp it still moves, The stick on bracket: Not enough of the stick on clamp can be attached to the helmet because of the contours of the helmet. The bracket should be heated and moulded to create the best shape. Even then there is too much hanging off at the bottom and over the rubber finish that runs around the base of the helmet. This makes the bracket vulnerable to being easily knocked off. I created a packer with a thin piece of black plastic and double sided tape to fill the gap. Overall not an easy product to fit to this helmet.
You haven't practiced the procedure upfront too well my friend - as the controller bracket keeps on living a life on its own during the whole vid ;-) - Suggest next time spare an extra two sided 3M pad to stick it on right away - and what's all the counting about ...One issue I take with 20S (Evo) is that I don't want the mic at all as it sucks rocks to ride around with a noise cancelling piece of foam in your mouth...and Sena didn't include a dummy plug to make it waterproof if I ride w/o it. Oh well - you guys will get it right sometime...keep up the good work.
I think you could come up with a better video or product for the Schuberth helmet line up. It’s the top of the line helmet. Continue making an integrated unit to keep the beauty of the helmet. Thanks in advance! Lol
You can view this FAQ that covers how to install the 20S on to the Schuberth C3 using the clamp kit. support.sena.com/hc/en-us/articles/214612866-How-Do-I-Use-the-Clamp-Kit-on-a-Schuberth-C3-C3-Pro-or-BMW-System-6-Helmet-
The Schuberth C3 & C3 Pro have a stiff plastic gasket which causes the headset to not sit flush against the helmet when using the clamp. The Glued Surface Mounting Adapter is included with the headset as an alternative mounting option.
This feels / looks a bit like "lookalike" instead of _really_ assembling the parts? The colar is only "layed" down instead of attaching it, also the mic etc... In this case, it is not wirth all the effort put into this video, just call it "für modular helmets" and go faster thrue part2...
