Senator Nina Turner discusses why African Americans should support Bernie Sanders, why she is no longer supporting Hillary Clinton and how her mother's death inspired her to do better #BreakfastClub
beautiful black queen I want to throw my hat in the ring so strong reminds me of my grandmother and my mother she said she is a strong black smart woman we need more black women to speak and act like her
Whether you agree with her or not, she is inspiring! I'm not even half way through this interview and she made me feel like I want to go out and get stuff done!
+Miss Raquel My feelings exactly. Same thing I feel about Bernie. I don't agree with everything they say, but it's refreshing to see someone that's genuinely passionate and not just trying to win for the sake of winning.
This been up for 2 hours and has 1 thousand views. Damn shame. Where are all ya'll viewers who watched the K. Michelle interview??????? Not important if you can't see a catfight huh??????
POWERFUL just seeing someone like her and hearing her speak up for us the way that does and not sounding like a white washed politician but one of US who happens to be a politician. Love this interview
I didn't know she's a senator! Not to diminish Nina, but I thought her merely an activist/public speaker. I thought that, but admittedly wanted to see that brilliant woman TRAINED in governing! I'll have to look into her more. I just only knew of her from her endorsement of Bernie! Man, I love Nina even more, now... PLEASE run for POTUS, I'll support you!
I'm Canadian so it boggles my mind America being the wealthiest nation in the world cannot grasp the idea that it CAN AND IS ABLE to provide universal healthcare & assist in educating their youths. Scandinavia, Canada, Australia we all have varying models that can even be used as exemplars. I remember I went to the hospital, needed a 20k surgery, had it in within 3 days all I had to pay for was my $60 crutches boom done, my parents health insurance pay for my rehabilitation. Simple get it together
***** I never inferred things were together, its evident to the whole world America doesn't have things together, I think that goes without saying. Canada was built on the same things. The racism in Canada is not to the degree of America but Canada engaged in genocide throughout the 19th & 20th century and our current incarceration/judicial system are racially motivated. All I was stating is that U.S. has the monetary & scientific capabilities but lack the collective foresight to engage in social goods :)
***** I'm not in opposition to what you're referring to. The world knows U.S. is monetarily able but American legislators and politicians prevent basic social good services to be in placed due to a host of issues you've already mentioned that ties to it's history. All countries have historical factors that stagnant it's growth. In reference to "free services", this is one of the problem with America in terms of understanding social goods, no country in the world provide these goods FREELY. There are policies and laws in place to move revenue from taxes, investments and fiscal debts for these services to be provided. Americans view Bernie as a radical Socialist when in reality to most of modernized nations what he is stating is the NORM, it is basic, affordable social services.
Nina is a positive example for all African American people. I love her and I would love to vote for her for president. keep up the good work Nina. I wish you could have seen her on Hardball yesterday she is phenomenal!
For those of you who choose to write a negative comment using foul language or ignorance, you're the type of person that's hurting our culture. This was a great interview. If you didn't like it just click the dislike button and keep it moving.
Can we get some type of prison reform policies to help felons REALLY become productive citizens. One mistake should not hunt you for the rest of your life and put them back in a situation to do what they did to survive because America won't except them in the work force.
Yes I love it, thank you guys for having her on after that CNN clown. I know he's yal boy but dude is ridiculous. I had given up on voting until I heard Sanders message, then I felt the same way she did. She had so much to say that made so much sense. I love to see strong brothers and sisters doing something, please keep bringing these kind of guest.
Look at all the moving parts. Legalization of weed, along with a simple restructuring of the military budget, would make free healthcare and free public school VERY possible. The revenue that states like Colorado have been able to come up with, have already allowed for a drop in the state's crime rate by 10% and and a revenue boost of like 12.3 mill to their state budget. Mind you, thats only in the last couple months or so. For me, this election is a 1 horse race. Bernie.
Six trillion will be spent on the Iraq war . Free tuition college costs a lot less than that . We have money to bomb other countries but we don't have money to educate our people ? Bullshit.
Best interview in Breakfast Club history! I feel inspired and I absolutely love Nina Turner, she is beautiful inside and out, a fine, intelligent and real Black Woman.
Hey Lovely Nina. I had the opportunity to hang out with her a few weeks ago in DC. She spoke @ one of our events. Also, she had me to call my daughter to convince me to support Bernie, lol. I'm still watching and waiting but I love you Nina and I love what you stand for. I still say you look just like Joy Reid. xoxo
+Cedric Thomas Well spoken? What is she supposed to sound like? That type of thinking is why white people think we're all uneducated. I know criminals and killers who are well spoken and highly intelligent. You would never know what they do out in the streets.
+87themars I have no sidekick, however, I do not have to explain anything to you. I am a young educated black man who appreciated this interview. The breakfast club typically interviews artist who can barely articulate their thoughts; I digress. Obviously you have a problem and looking to argue; I refuse to indulge. Have a great day 😊.
To think I really missed Ed lovers show when BC took over. I'm so stuck on this election- but I love a good discussion. Only the dynamics on BC can get these convos going- and interesting all the way thru.
Love Love Love hearing her speak. Especially when she touched on the fact that us as a collective sometimes vote based of a brand and without extensively doing research and due diligence ourselves. #Food4Thought #GreatInterview S/O to the Breakfast Club for another enlightening dialogue. Everybody after watching this video should put some respeck on Sen. Nina Turner's name! 😊😎
Great interview. For those of you who can only see fit to comment about her appearance (good or bad), you're the reason why we are not respected as a people. We have to grow out of this state of ignorance and childishness. Keep up the great work Mrs. Turner. Young ladies...looking for a role model? Here you go...
