This was so huge for people associated with hockey in Southern California... I played hockey my whole life and was born and raised in SoCal...Being a season ticket holder it was so hard in 2003 this just made it so much better...GO DUCKIES!!!

June 6th 2007 after the Ducks won the cup....there was nobody outside of the Honda Center. Nobody celebrating. Nobody cheering in the streets. What a mistake hockey in California is. Google the Sens Mile. That's the difference between a hockey market and Anaheim. Anaheim won a cup and didn't even have fans outside the building to cheer. Gary Bettman's legacy....losing $90 million in Anaheim

This team was stacked, young Getz and Perry Selanne was still a boss, beast goalie, two hall of fame defenseman. Ducks are looking pretty damn good this year too hopefully they can hoist lord Stanley in June 2014. Also Ducks have phenomenal prospect system and will be great for years to come.

Oh please nobody cares who did it first. The Kings won it better when they did it the first time so stop living in the past. Only 2 things matter as of right now, who won the most? Montreal. And who won the last? Yeah that's right, the Kings. Everything else is irrelevant. Brian Hayturd has trained you guys well.

Ah the pathetic defense mechanism of a butthurt ducks fan. Kings have done it more, and in better fashion. How many records did the ducks break buying their cup? How many times have the ducks beaten the kings in a playoff series? I rest my case.

I live in maine so never seen a home ducks game, but in 2005-2007 I got to see the core of the ducks play in Portland maine for the Pirates. and god they KILLED!! including Perry, Penner, Getzlaf, Kunitz, O'Brien, bobby ryan. man that was the best times to see those guys grow up in the AHL then win us a cup that year. amazing run.

I was a huge fan of Giggy back then, it's so sad to see what's become of him. This was definitely the best Stanley Cup celebration I've seen in my generation. I mean, Teemu Selanne was in hysterical tears, for christ's sake. It really doesn't get anymore emotional than that.

To all Ducks Fans who are still enjoying this Stanley Cup moment by the Ducks in 2007, remember this. None of this could have even been possible if Teemu Selanne wouldn't have picked a Red Wing's pocket for the puck and scored that Overtime Winning Goal in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals at Detroit. And from there they won the Western Conference at Home. God help the Ducks if they had to go back to Detroit for Game 7!

I was at the Hooters just across the 57 Freeway from Honda Center in Anaheim during this game. And believe me, it was a Mad House all day long. Noticed How I said the word "Day", because it was only 4:30 in Anaheim when the game started at Honda Center. There was not a seat in the house that day, and we were all going crazy after every Duck Goal. And in between periods we were blasting Bro Hymn by Pennywise. The sun didn't come down until long, long after the Ducks got the Stanley Cup.

Watching stanley cups finals of Edmonton Oilers vs Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators vs Anaheim Ducks because I am fan of Canadian🇨🇦 cities starting with vowel letters now. Back in 2006/2007 - I have not watched hockey. Started following Edmonton🇨🇦 Oilers and Ottawa🇨🇦 Senators after watching NHL for the first time in 2020. Ottawa struggled and Anaheim took advantage of it and played perfectly. Perry had an awesome game, especially the 6-th goal of the game. I think this season (if they will), Ottawa will play way better now that they have Foligno. But in this game, i must admit that the Californians played amazingly. Hope they will play again like that this season.

Both teams have a cup and both teams have things that make it great, Ducks did it in 14 years Kings went 16-4 through the playoffs. All in all they each have a cup and that's what matters. now it's a race to get Cup #2.

What a great team this was. Two good top lines on O, with size and speed. A tough as nails 3rd line (Pahlsson, Moen, Rob Neidermayer), two HOF defensemen, and a great goalie. IMO, only hte 2008 Wings come close as a post-lockout Stanley Cup Champ/

few years ago i would have agreed with you, but... our top players are Getz, Perry, Ryan; Whitney and Wisniewski got some great experience and mentoring from future HoFers (and will probably get it for another season), they are almost ready to be top D-guys; Hiller made all league talk about himself in awe... all that + the veterans still have stuff left in them for another run (Teemu, Scotty do NOT play like they are 38 or 35). also after the way our GM handled deadline, i'm confident in him

The Ducks wanted this one so bad. Granted Ottawa played awful, made a ton of mistakes, but they weren't winning this series. I always say Carolina, the year before this, and the Ducks here wanted that cup SO BAD. Other than Rangers of 94, those two were so determined. Absoultely deserved.
