Soooooooooooooooo I got bored, was on youtube and decided to watch a video, I ended up watching Taesty Kookie's video:

I was inspired by this video; to; create my own and so I did! i originally planned on formatting my video really similar to Taesty Kookie's, buuuuuut I got carried away, and ended up making a 23 minute video based on all my fave kpop idols ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But yeah! Inspo creds goes to Taesty Kookie!
DISCAIMER
This is the very first video that I have ever made about anything, so please don't judge my video making skills too harshly lol. I may have messed up on some parts, and I'm sorry about that! Also I tried including as many artists that I could, but the video was getting really long, and I never intended on that to happen, I mainly just created this video to send to my brother bc he doesn't understand why I love kpop so much, so yeah!

@@asimaquraishi5377 there are a lot of styles of rap, Suga is one of the best in something called "speedfire rapping" if i remeber correctly. however this doesn't make him the best rapper. you can't really judge it because artists can have thier own styles ^^

You definitely deserve it, this video is definitely one of the best I've seen in describing what K-pop is to non-kpoppers ( idk, is that word? ), other videos I've seen barely touch the surface and always put extremely popular groups that everyone knows in every category ( not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that there's a lot of underrated talent too, y'know? ) and the video ends up being not that diverse. This is an amazing video, especially great for your first video ♡

This was probably one of the best of these I’ve seen. My only problem was that mamamoo wasn’t in the amazing vocals section even though they’re known as the vocal queens of kpop? (Or in the retro section when they’ve done retro songs from the 20s, 30s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc, but that’s a bit more forgivable)

I tried adding in as many groups/artists as I could, while also making the video as even as possible (meaning like i wanted both boy and girl groups in every section, and an even amount of songs in every category too) without making it too long!! So i just decided to add in mamamoo in the jazz section. Sorry! I really do love Mamamoo though, they are such talented women!!

I love this video :) I think it's really one of the bests of this kind. It really shows how MANY different sides Kpop has, even the small ones we barely remember. And I love the end :) It just really shows what Kpop is for many fans, except just the music and the looks. I love the Kpop community, even if it's reaaally annoying sometimes. But still, there are soooooo many sooooo lovely peeps out there, and it just makes me feel like it's a home. Kpop is about the music, the styles, visuals, the diversity and the love we give and receive, from both, artists and fans.

i really appreciate that you spread the examples out more evenly rather than make it super obvious which group you bias. some videos are titled "why you should like kpop" when really, it should be titled "why you should like BTS" as most of the examples are BTS because they just simply could not find the time to listen to more groups or they solely think that kpop revolves around BTS.

There is a lot of contradictions in the ways we say kpop is good. Some people use the lyrics, claiming that they are so deep and that’s why they like kpop. Some people, like this video, claim that lyrics don’t matter and it is about the feeling. Some haters find this as a weak point, since the two points contradict. However, lyrics are both important and not important. They are amazing and for some, are the best part of the entire song, and for some, do not matter. One should not make you hate kpop. Hating kpop for language is hypocritical when you listen to American rap that is either in Spanish or in mumble (totally incomprehensible).

Yes of course,a this video is my opinion though! Kpop (along with the artists and groups) are usually just stereotyped as one sound, one concept, and one THING in general, so I wanted to make a video that could show people the many sides of kpop that some people may not know about or expect. Sorry if my video came off as rude. Thanks for watching though!
