I spent approximately 3 hours surfing the web/you tube, searching for an all-around good workout (while we're all staying home during the corona crisis). And, yes, this is it. Soooo glad I found the Tona fitness videos ! This is so similar to my community fitness class routine which is only 2 days a week, less if holiday, leader vacation or weather. So Tona is my set-up at home to do anytime. A cable connects my laptop computer to my TV for great big quality. Really outstanding all-around fitness with a pleasant upbeat leader and low-key (not screaming) music. I began the fitness 2 years ago, it cured my frozen shoulder and now keeps me healthy. So THANK YOU. FYI I'm 71. Still can't quiet get the chair exercise where you stand up a little.
This Silver Sneakers video is wonderful, especially during the Covid19 stay at home policy. Its covers everything this 65 year old needs, stretching, aerobics, strengthening, arms, legs, core. I had been going to our local gym since the first of the year. Glad I can keep up at home. Thank you!

I too, am a certified Senior's Fitness class instructor of 4 different levels, with many years in the biz, since the beginning (I'm 65!......it's growing rapidly which means lots more vids out there, SO MANY are poor in different ways. I recommend you research instructors, Tona is GREAT! Her vast experience shows clearly with every move, & with every 'excellent' cue! I hope you shoot more class videos soon! Went back in time and just did this one again ( yes, I was bored, sitting around !) . Loved seeing your class participants again , and enjoyed just the different exercises in chair. If it had not been for the whole virus lockdown thing I would never have found you and your videos , so at least some good came out of it ! I actually enjoy them as much, if not more, than my old Y classes.
I am 36 years old and I utterly enjoyed every bit of this workout. Lots of people look at us younger generation and think we have no ailments but many of us do. Arthritis has really attacked my life since my early 20's so I try to stay active and therefore really appreciate workouts like this that seem to address all of my achy joints. Thank you for sharing!
I was so happy to see your comment. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years. I am the one in the video to the right of Tona in black. You can see that I can't do everything that everyone else can, but I still go to class 3 days a week. Tona's class has changed my life.
Marcia Sasser, You are an inspiration to a lot of people who think they can not exercise because of certain issues they have. You should be proud of what you are doing, and for being in the video to show they too can modify the workouts within their limit.

She never stops smiling and I love her outfit!:) Most Senior Fitness choreography I've seen is soooo lethargic, thanks for NOT being one of those. Many of these folks are able to do more!! I tried out a few of these moves yesterday with a class and they loved it!! I've taught many formats over the decades, but think I just fell in love with this format!!! Great work Tona!!! :)
Great! I really enjoy teaching seniors and your video is superb. I like your class especially the beautiful lady to your right who clearly has physical difficulties but doesn't let this stop her. She is enjoying herself so much. 😊

She always has a smile on her face which is wonderful to watch, and her smile gives us the hope we need if she can smile and do this. so can we. With the coronavirus "shelter in place orders" I have chosen to not go into the gym but enjoy Senior Fitness by Tona. I used # 2 this time and modified the chair work with more standing. I found it to be and excellent work out and Tona, your bright energy is very up lifting. I highly recommend this as a fill in... nothing totally replaces being with friends in a class setting but I enjoyed this familiar time with you. Stay well and wash your hands. :)

I'm wondering why when I try to watch the Tona videos the video switches to an add, and then when the add is over, the video goes back to the beginning! Continually! This is very frustrating!

I thank you both your Senior exercise youtube. But this one has about 30 ads all over. I don't mind commercial before and/or after and couple more in between but about every 2~3 minutes I had to stop and reach out to skip, that's too much. I almost bet all those thumb downs are for ridiculous amount of ad. I almost quit middle of session.

I have been exercising to this video and Tona's other videos for about a year now and I really like them. But today there were multiple interruptions during the video for ads and multiple ads each time. The skip ad function also was disabled. I found the interruptions to be very disruptive and so many seems unnecessary.
I call my classes at different levels the following which works well in my area of many older adults. 1. Ladies 50+ (in their 50's & 60's, but they don't like to be called seniors yet). 2. Lower level class is called Active Seniors (half standing cardio/balance & half seated strength/stretch) and my lowest level of class is called Seated Seniors. I love Tona's videos too! I'm in Ontario, Canada!
Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your ideas for those of us who teach senior classes! Are those socks you have on? If so, do you think they are a good alternative for my senior folks who don't want to wear sneakers?
Vicki Souder thanks for watching!:) My shoes are called vibrams. They are a barefoot training shoe. I would never recommend anyone to go without a some sort of shoe during their work outs. Vibrams are great, but it takes 8-10 weeks of wearing them for short periods before going full time and working out in them.

Extraordinary this program; this would be a good inspiration for me-in my project, 'Successful Ageing in Romania', that have more components- to initiate a group for Senior Fitness in my town, and another towns, probably into a fitness centre.I would like to discuss with you, and give me advice, because you have a complex and various program and experience. Love this workout! What is the bpm? I sub for a Light n Low class at the Y, for all ages. We use 125-135 bpm. Is this video available for purchase , electronic or DVD version?
Ginger Petty I believe in my 1st video I use the band standing up. You could do the same sitting down. There are also attachments you can buy that you close in a door that holds the band for you.
Maybe you don't understand English. "Skip Ads" means to skip ads. This is a exercise video and I had to stop at least eight times to get rid of more ads. I shall find anonther place to get my exercise. This is just stupid. I thought RU-vid was so wonderful. Apparently not.
