TechnoBuffalo: technobuffalo.com/ Follow me on twitter: cuthut.com/0 Clove: www.clove.co.uk Giving an overview of the Sense UI running on top of Android on the HTC Hero
@zodaka32 The simplest considerations are, HTC HD2 runs Windows Mobile 6.5, the Hero runs Android, the far superior OS. Also - unlocked, the latest HD2 prices I've seen runs somewhere in the $800-$900 range while the Hero can be found for around $550.
wait is this version available in like at&t because they have one at sprint but it doesnt have that like chin thing at the bottom and its fatter and stuff.
what do you think is better, the Sense UI coming on HTC Incredible or Android 2.1 on Nexus One? i want to get an android phone, been looking at the Nexus One and just found out about Incredible so i thought i'd research the Sense UI to see which is better.
I hope with the 4th gen iphone coming probably june/july of 2010 that they remake the OS for the phone to compete with the android, the androids OS is nice and i love the customization features in it.
well i have an iphone 3g and HTC G1 to tell u the truth i love the G1 for its customization :D i installed the hero rom and i love it more than the iphone.. maybe cuz it has less restrictions
I don't think you would. Its CPU/GPU is significantly inferior to the 3GS (Cortex A8) and more on par with your existing 3G (2yr old ARM11). Translation: It's likely to often be sloooow/choppy
I hope you're right but i'm skeptical. I like the device...even ordered one but cancelled because i've been spoilt and can't tolerate any lag whatsoever
I reordered and have a brown model. Yes it is superior to the iPhone in many aspects but multimedia capabilities/performance are still inferior to iPhone Also it is definitely buggy and needs a major software update but it is still a great phone...just needs to be baked a little more
Well, do you really think that only Apple fits to the description "Everything they make has a purpose and is made to be better than the competitors. "? I guess that this is, what every other company is aiming, too. And I think that many succeed in doing so, too. (Look at the Android Phones and the Palm Pre with webOS, they both are innovative and better than the Apple iPhone in many points, if you ask me)
Agreed, bare-bones Android is pretty rubbish, even on Android 2.0. And as far as iTunes sync goes you'd just need to get 'The Missing Sync' which uses iTunes to put your non-DRM music onto any Android device, as well as Calendars, Email etc. It costs, but hey, with the 90% of free-apps on the marketplace you'd soon make up the difference compared to the iPhone.
