this worked perfectly. was worried about needing an xbox controller or setting up bindings because i have zero experience with emulators and virtual controllers but i was able to plug in an old ps4 controller and play with no issues at all. thank you sincerely for the vp tutorials, i thought i'd never get to experience these amazing games again. :')

Thanks for this video I am currently playing this game with my PS5 controller didn't have to do much but the first part of the video and I have the controller plug into the system and was able to change garden name with mouse and keyboard. Thanks again!

In case people are concerned about having to use keyboard instead of xbox controller, I have been using a nintendo switch pro controller with success. There's a little bit of awkwardness with the start button where sometimes it is confused about whether + or - is the start button. Otherwise good to go!

Thanks for the tutorial! It's one of the best tutorials I've seen. Is it normal that when I start a garden it's like... already made? In the regular Viva Pinata you start out having to clear out the garden first

Thanks for the video! I got it successfully to run which I hadn't been able to do before--but unfortunately it runs abso-lutely terribly; like, took me a full minute to even get the tutorial to register my A presses (to be fair I was using virtual controller). There is an INCREMENTAL performance boost in xenia canary but the newest builds for each run very very badly. Maybe my specs are just absolute barf? I don't usually game on PC, but I followed your Viva Pinata Classic video to the letter (and thank you for that!!) and it works like a charm. My specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-1165G7 GPU: Intel Iris Xe RAM: 12 GB oh, and windows 11, wherever that fits in. if anyone can tell me as much as "yeah this is farts for running xenia/trouble in paradise, just don't try" that would be much appreciated! It would be incredibly helpful to know this is an avenue I just can't go down since I've already spent so much time tweaking config. This computer was a present from my dad and my standards were "it runs Spore fine" so I have noooo idea if I'm basically asking an ant to lift an elephant.

Does any camera work with the pinata vision? Or are they unable. I want to make all the 3rd wild cards

The Canary build should work as well given the performance boost those builds got recently

I was getting very poor performance, but I found that setting draw_resolution_scale (x and y) to =2 fixed my issues.

Im guessing this still works? For years have I looked at trying to get viva pinata on the PC. Succeeded with the first game. Had it on disc and forgot about it, but always yearned for TIP. Gave up looking a while ago and somehow stumbled upon this. I feel I'm surrounded by legends by posting this comment.

watching your video I notice you have no "frame" or audio glitches whatsoever while playing, I've done everything in the video and I still have audio glitches and some "tearing" any tips?

The weird thing is, I did all the things explained in the video. But as soon as the garden loads, I still am met with the "white screen" issue. Even with the changes in xenia . config . toml ... I honestly don't know what I am doing wrong.. 😅
