Bertoli's face actually looks prettier when it's filled out a bit. I hope she's able to lose weight; primarily for her health, but also to become a force in women's tennis again. She's certainly got the game, and I've always enjoyed watching her unorthodox style of play.

I'm Marion's biggest fan. Super bummed the comeback didn't work out. BUT, even though her fitness was her biggest shortcoming at this point, her ball striking honestly was not bad. When she runs through her shots rather than hitting open stance (which is a great strategy for double handed players) she actually gets great pace and depth. Even on her back foot a lot of her shots in this match had great depth. If her shoulder hadn't kept her down, I felt she could have had a successful return to the tour. And aside from that one double-fault, her serving actually wasn't bad!

Keep making fun of them, they would still kick you ass in tennis🤷‍♀️✌️

I love bartoli.. because i am a two handed forhander of new tennis development. She is my eternal idol..

i have no problem with anyone being overweight. The only problem i see is from the his/her side. Being overweight is like being at the gym 24/7. You have a weight-jacket on all the time. It does make your muscles stronger, usually, but it's a much bigger burden than being skinny. That being said, many people have stories behind the weight-gains. Not everything is as it seems.

Fat or thin, I don’t care. Marion is always admirable and always brought entertainment value to the sport, even in little hit-and-giggle moments like this one. She obviously likes Serena a great deal, but I also think Serena has always respected Marion’s plucky attitude. The two of them seem to enjoy a happy rapport that is rare for such fierce-and rather stylistically different-competitors. Serena’s unwavering dedication to all-time greatness prevented her (quite understandably) from forming close friendships on the tour, aside from her bond with Venus, but it would not surprise me at all if she considered Marion to be a true friend … and vice versa.

I love serena Williams But I'm still not convinced that she has the Fire, that she had from 99'-17'. I don't think the same Desire to Be a top Tier player is still there for Serena Williams and that is definitely difficult to hear and see. But she already said what's left in the future of tennis for Me? I just don't really know. So we'll see but I think she's done in the sport. If she's not actually training the same way as she used to Before the Baby, Im just convinced she's Done.
