came back to this again to refresh, have used it several times already, like most of your techniques pretty game changing stuff you always seem to have an edge in developing sound design techniques, i wonder where you gained these skills.. is it a secret coven? blood sacrifice? or just good ol' cross road selling your soul to the devil?
@@MuteProduction one thing i know producers do, but i dont know how to do for myself is that they make their own presets and effects/processing chains and they save them for later use. for example, they make EQ presets for bass/kick, presets for compressors, saturators, etc, and everytime they work on a new track, they just open up the saved preset and just tweak parameters for the particular track. could you make a video about that, what is standard, what you use and how you set the parameters to your liking, fitting the track you're working on. My english is not that great, so i hope i made it clear enough xD Thank you
Feel pretty dumbdumb but can someone tell me the track name? I haven't been into prog since the good old days of Son Kite - Colours and all that. Mostly into darkpsy for the last 15 years. I want to hear the trick in a professional context though! :D
I like how E-Clip has two parallel filters on his basslines, I reckon your method kinda messes that up because the sine is subject to the effects due to no bypass option. However, two serums, one with the fundamental and the second with the click and fuzz of the saw.
i often add hold to my filter envelope and then use the filter in the fx section to shape only frequencies from around 1k upwards, this can give nice control over the transient. However these days I’m usually using one filter but with 3 envelopes as i find this gives the most powerful and controlled sound :)
@@notsure1135 no not at the moment, I will be releasing a pack of bass patches for serum and vital this month (november 2021) that will use this techniques in some of the patches

@@marcolebossdu35 have you tried drawing a shape in the LfO section and alt dragging it to the oscillator? that’s an easy way to make waves :) i will make a video on FFT but i might do it in Vital’s FFT editor

Hey Mute! Would love it if you could please do a video dedicated to drawing wavetables like your bass wavetables and other different stuff, because I find it so difficult to grasp how you have got that shape for your bass! Would be a huge help
i have many methods of generating waveforms, but for these simple sawlike shapes you can just draw them in the lfo and drag them into your oscillators :)
