A similar thing happened to me as a kid. My mom explained that they probably didn't see me. Instead of teaching me that every disappointment in life was a unjust travisty. Good luck to these kids in life.

The Sesame character was asked to take a picture with a child as it was walking in the Sesame parade, the character replied NO to the grown ups asking and kept on walking in the PARADE!!! Unfortunately the little girls were standing right next to the people asking and the character kept moving in the parade. NO PICTURES! This is not a racism matter, but a policy of Sesame Place.
Just tossing it out there, I'll assume you are not black... what you are experiencing is called bias (understandably) which means you might not be able to judge the situation accurately. if you notice in frame 00:38 the character makes it a point to high five a young child (white) and an adult (also white) as he/she passes. Now, is it possible that he/she was denying a photo op? yes, but it's clear that the individual in the suit like yourself showed favoritism which made it easier to stare at the black kids (frame 00:53) and keep moving without any awareness or empathy. it happens often, you are not a villain. However, while that young white kid that got the high five (which should be clear in the policy) will go home overwhelmed with joy, those black kids will go home feeling the inverse, overwhelming sadness (and possibly change their outlook on life).
@@killergabler7 The sesame character was in a hurry to get back to they were doing. Waved their finger no to the white person and the black kids were waved off right after. Sad people like you are always looking for racism in the world when in most cases their arent any. Its just in your head.
@@killergabler7 Your comment is condescending as hell. The person in the costume was saying no to the parent asking for the picture. It’s obvious the parent kept asking which is why the mascot kept on moving. Those 2 kids just got caught in the crossfire of that situation. By the way I am black so you can’t use my race as a reason why I’m wrong. I hate when people do that as that is one of the most biased things you can do. Doing that is like saying only black people can understand what racism looks like which is just plain wrong.
Totally. I’ve seen it and I still don’t care. Nothing happened. It’s a non-issue. Grifter needs to get over herself and stop using her kids to game the system. Next time, pick a scam that doesn’t involve your kids if you don’t want them to be “traumatized”. 😂 The only reason they’d be “permanently damaged” is by HER for telling them that the world OWES them every time they get butt hurt over something.
I just saw other videos of this character doing the same to other kids! I am furious those other videos have not been publicly shown. So no it’s no accident, that thing did it through out the day.
That employee DELIBERATELY did THAT though!! You can tell when the employee DELIBERATELY shook his/her head AND hands!! Did you notice that A**hole gave the ADULT a high five, but ABSOLUTELY DISREGARDED the CHILDREN?!! 😒
This is a money grab, mother is sueing anyone that looks at her and her children the wrong way. They offered a VIP Meet and Greet pass to them but no gold digging mom wants $25 million instead. Hope karma gets this woman.
Cancel culture strikes again!!! The snowflakes just keep winning. This happened to me plenty of times at parades and at baseball games trying to get autographs. Little did I know it was because of my skin color.
A group of teenagers beat a 73 year old black man to death with a traffic cone . The man was crawling for his life , at 3am , on video . Meet and greet, just be glad that didn’t have stop and frisk !

Gas lighting again “Don’t believe what you clearly see but believe what we tell you”. And what we tell you is that this wasn’t racist so let’s keep saying that & keep the lie going. smh.
You're forgetting that everything is about race in America. Americans need to treat black people with special privelages now, otherwise they are scrutinized for racism and it become a witch hunt. Everyone in the world is laughing at black Americans, and white Americans who follow along with these imaginary narratives. I stay in Africa 4 months out of the year with family from there, and even in Africa they all laugh at black Americans trying to claim that its their home, even though they've never been here. If they came for a visit, they would see how unwelcome their brainwashed minds are. It would be an immediate culture shock. I was once told by a black american that there are no white africans.. he never been to Africa, yet claimed it as his home, and claimed no white Africans. Black Americans have such a problem with beautiful white skin. Truth is, they have a problem in their own skin. Many white Africans and black, except we all get along no matter our colors. They must lose the chip on their shoulder about things they have never been through. They must stop holding grudges against people who have never done anything to them. Otherwise we all laugh at them. I saw the video, no problem there. Disappointed kids, yes. But nothing to do with race. Americans jump to racist conclusions with zero evidence. They don't even know who is in the costume 🤣😅 even if the person has white skin, no intentional hate there. Just sweet innocent children who's parents are raising them to be entitled and privelaged by telling them that if they dont get their way, its because they are black. Parents teaching them that since they are black, they can sue to make a quick buck, as if they don't already get enough free money from American government. All Americans do. Stop suing for silly reasons. Sue for real reasons. This is why we all laugh at you. 🤣
This mother is sick in the head for making her children feel bad about the color of their skin. Telling them that a character ignored them because they are black. Sick mother.
If you've ever been in a social situation where multiple people are trying to get your attention, sometimes you have to ignore one person to talk to another person. That's because you can't talk to 2 or 3 different people at the same time. In this case, maybe Rosita couldn't see them, because the kids are short, and the costume blocks her view. So she's distracted, waving at the other kids she can see who are further away. But if you can extort a few mil from Sea World Entertainment, why not try? They have deep pockets.
When the Rosita did the “no” finger that was the only real indicator of turning someone else down, who was behind the girls. While the Rosita was shaking their head at this other person, they might not have actually made eye contact with the girls. Either way it looked the way it did and it’s sad. I don’t think they should do any “No” gestures at all even if it’s in character and just move on. Maybe if not already, the parade could have sent a letter or video of Rosita for the family, saying hi if not in person.
Wait what? Why was it difficult to see these little girls? They were right in front. If they couldn't see the little girls they don't need that job. That's like walking with your eyes closed
It's clearly obvious that the character wasn't ignoring the black kids the character high five black kids before that character got to those little girls. The character can't hug, take photo's or high five every child 😂 during a parade of characters. I know you saw the handler for the character right there you literally have to keep moving it's very hard to see out of those costumes. Alot of you people need to work in different professionals then you'll know how rules and policy work. The world is extremely close minded.

Rosita is looking another direction, just before reaching the girls, and does the "no" finger wag. It appears one of the girls was wanting a hug or to be picked up. Okay I really thought by the title this was gonna be an exaggeration (since I know many times these characters ignore people cause they aren’t ready to see people) But surprisingly this wasn’t the case. She was high fiving people fine before and then when ACTUAL kids that are excited try to they get ignored so sad that this whole experience had to get ruined by this
Nah. It's a misunderstanding. When the adult gives the high five the person clearly waves their finger and saying no to something. Couple that with poor seeing and being in a literal moving parade. The family planning to sue is absurd.
@@aaronjustice9020 Yeah obviously but NO EXCUSE no mettre the color to completely ignore 2 KIDS especially after paying attention to a grown adult. No excuse. And the fact that you are trying to find one is very messed up and shows you are wrong. Even if you want to ignore the racism part THEYRE KIDS!
@@creativesparks2164 no it's not. Watch the video and use an ounce of common sense. The character is doing high fives. The two kids are obviously reaching for hugs. You'd prob be the first to scream covid risk a few months ago. You also can't hear if anything is being said. It's clear the character is doing high 5s and not hugs. And it's a parade can't stop and explain this to every kid. It's being blown out of proportion because the parents are trying to sue.
@@aaronjustice9020 THEY ARE KIDS! It doesn’t matter! They are workers they are supposed to interact with kids… they were ignored ON PURPOSE. The character could’ve easily gave these kids a high five. You are making up excuses for them when they themselves never mentioned COVID. They never even mentioned a reason. Okay they reach for hugs SO WHAT!? Ignore them? No give them a high five and carry on. Not even a friendly wave. Just a complete rejection. So unprofessional
I AGREE besides the one in inside edition video for the second mom why would she knel down with her son knowing the rosiyra character wouldn’t see them at all
That is so sad...been seeing a few videos like this where black children are ignored and it's obvious but idk about cancelling the character because it's fictional and it's not the person wearing the costume...
I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. You know how hard it can be to see in those costumes? I’ve seen this problem before. Knowing that there will be a lot of little kids there though, she should look down more often
Isn't Sesame Street made for children so I'm trying to understand why they would make costumes to where they could not see lower levels when most children who are what they are entertaining in the first place cannot be seen it is total b******* they did what they did and I hope that someone does something because I am older and my children are adults now and I remember taking them to parks and knowing they were ignored but until this very day it did not connect as to why this is so sad
I dunno... it kinda looks blown out of proportion to me. It looks like she was saying no to someone else and kept walking, possibly didn't even see the kids. And the kids just so happen to be black and OF COURSE pull the ol race card.
It seems accurate that she was saying no to holding a child to take a picture with them. Performers are usually eager to get away once they've told someone "no" and that's what she did. Very simple.
Its amazing the depth people go to so that ignorance and hatred is ignored. The. Character looks down and changes her hand gesture RIGHT ABOVE the children. Stop this nonsense.
Of course she sees them, she's deliberately looking and shaking her hands at them. She gave a high 5 to a child of the same size before coming by these girls who clearly wanted attention. Very disappointing.
That is racism. To prove that you see how Rosita be friendly with the other kids, but not those two. That person under the costume didn’t accidentally forget them
No this is just a thought, but could rosita possibly just be upset because all these black people are beating up Hispanic street vendors... 🤔 would make sense
They tried to make it right and they should passes and meet and greet might help I do think suing is a bit over the top. She might have missed them as she was saying no to whatever was going on behind them. If I’m looking for conduct behind them my vision in a costume isn’t on their level. Now if it was a pattern of other black kids being ignored then it’s a problem. Ppl wanting the name of the character etc to cause him of her problems are taking it too far. If they are racist they should be fired if it was an honest mistake and he didn’t happen to see these little ones regardless of color costume design might help or making sure they go back several times to meet every kid. If they try to sue for money 💰 it is no longer about the girls it’s about money
Might have missed them and she looks straight down?? And kids next to the girls were the same height. Also there is other videos of them doing the same to black and brown kids.
They did that to me and many other people at a parade in the 90's Just a plain cash grab I've seen them do it to white brown Indian you name it ,, it's hard to see in those costumes
Exactly. its not a damn race thing... Those costumes are notoriously hard to see in and walk in. Everyone wants something to be offended about, it even looked like the character acknowledged them just wasn't able to get lower.
Bet grifter mom wishes this would have been at a Disney property. Then they’d could be angling for a MUCHO bigger payout from a mega bigger corporation. Oh well...maybe next time, Mickey Mouse will flip them the finger at Disneyland and they’ll be set for life...😂

Parents like this who will sue sesame street because the character didn't wave at their kids, also give out participation trophies to their kids. Such privelage and entitlement. At 0:53, Rosita is telling someone else no before she gets to them. One of the girls is reaching out for a hug and she's probably saying she can't do it. I figured it out after watching several times.
people are blind they only want to see what they want to see it. Rosita say no hugs to the white kids and the blacks kids, what Rosita did wrong is not giving high five to the black kids, but the mother is complaining that Rosita didn't give hug to the black kid which that is company policy, and also inside edition said that Rosita hug a white kid, why didn't the mother record something so important so we can see it, because that's a lie.
