Set Building Tips for LEGO Stop Motion Films | Brickology Stop Motion
If you’re like me, finding time to make LEGO stop motion films is a challenge. When I do have the time, I try to get filming as quickly as possible. One thing that has helped me expedite this process is set building. I’m no master builder, so whenever I make a useable set, I try to keep it for future films. In this video, I give you some tips one how to maximize the sets you spent so much time building, and how this can help you get to filming quickly.

SnyFlemFilms, i use sticky tack to make sure jt stays still. If never dries or hardens, you can find it at hobby lobby or something

Such a simple yet effective tactic. Although, it’s probably a lot more difficult for animations that probably require more of a cityscape, or the use of a specific iconic location.

Time is key - that's sooooo true! The hype-momentum-productiveness is something I wish I could have too. I find that I'm hampered by not having a dedicated LEGO space. I have to clean everything up and put it away everytime I want to build something. It's sooo much wirk before and after and takes a loooot of time. So, I wish I could have a dedicated LEGO space where I could just leve everything out so I could get going as fast as you! Great sets though - really like them and the flexibility is sooo cool! Thanks a lot for sharing this and keep up the great work :-)

Hello! Yes I am still in the midst of organizing my space. It seems the more I organize, the more I make a mess. I'm like you - I have to put everything away every time I'm done or else I won't be able to find it!!!

Thank you! I get a lot of pieces from various sets that I take apart. Some pieces were given to me from friends who don't play with LEGO anymore as well. I really don't have that much so I try to reuse as much as possible. Thank you for the compliment!!!!

See I am making like a full series everything is connected and idk I just feel like I need to spend a lot of time on my sets to make them very theatrical and dramatic so that it gets the sets it deserves and I can’t do that if I don’t spend a lot of time on them
