Some of those jokes only landed due to Seth's delivery. Like, he may think they suck, but even in this segment saying they suck, he gives the joke 100% in the delivery.

You gotta love how Seth includes his writing staff in his show. Conan had some bits, but he's gone. But none of the other talk show host do this. Some have a band, but no one spreads the joy around like Seth.

I'm beginning to suspect that these jokes are a way for the writers to get in jokes that they thought of the next day/too late for the taping. Like a kind of realizing in the shower the next morning what you SHOULD have said during that one discussion at work.

Oddly, this was the second reference to Lou Bega I’ve heard this week-MBMBAM also referenced him in their latest episode.

It's decidedly low-hanging fruit, hitting addicts for what they did at the depth of their addiction is basically punching down. RDJ was so high he walked into his neighbour's house by mistake and went to sleep in their teen daughter's bed. He was also convicted and sentenced for his multiple episodes of drug possession and intoxication. Nobody brings that up at every opportunity.

Came here to say this. My understandinhg is that the Spanish pronunciation is Sahn-tahn-dare. That's even worse for the joke since the punchline doesn't work.
