Wrestling Inc. Senior News Editor Nick Hausman (@Nick_Hausman) speaks with WWE Superstar Seth Rollins (@WWERollins) at the WWE 2K23 Royal Rumble hands-on event in San Antonio, TX. www.wrestlinginc.com/1181354/...
Also, while impromptu, but I absolutely love the use of "we" in "we figured it out over there, and we knew it over here" - it doesn't matter where you work, wrestlers are a "we" - and that cancer CM Punk is not included.
@@Alex-vd1no growing up is getting off dirt sheets that are fed by the kids who dislike punk and name their finishing moves after Meltzer He’s not a diva, he’s a man who doesn’t tolerate passive aggressive pussies
I agree with Seth. he hadn't been around for how long and then just pops up out of nowhere and did exactly what Seth said he did. Challenge him to a match and beat him so he could get himself over and get a DVD cover. Used his spotlight. 💯
@@mikedaman9000 you realise he doesn’t mean it right it is for the story? 💀 like he obviously would of agreed to it so he can boost Cody’s career more Seth has had a lot of title runs in recent years he won’t get another proper one for another year or so. He’s in that stage where he’s popular enough to make anything work and will use his talent too boost other people to the best they can be.
Punk fan too. I actually don’t care people don’t like him. I don’t always want to cheer the same wrestlers others do. Don’t think Phil cares if people like him either. Why I like him 😈
You'd think no rumors would come out of this interview, but half an hour after it dropped and Punk fanboys are already claiming this is proof that CM Punk is returning to WWE 💀💀💀
Dude he's a wrestler working for a company that watches everything he says. Take that for what you want Sit here and ask if it's real? It's fucking wrestling, yeah it's real.
If there was any doubt how WWE feels about "Phil" returning, this sealed it. Seth wouldn't have said it if he didn't have the approval of those at the top. So it's either a big swerve that means he's coming back; or, more likely, they don't want anything to do with Cancer-Maker Punk.
Seth nowadays has more than enough clout in the company to say whatever he wants without Vince getting on his ass over it. Remember the curtain call? Vince bends over whenever his top talent does stuff like this that won't cost him any money in the end. Now if it was a midcarder or a girl, now that'd be another story. Seth's the third most over guy in the WWE right now, right behind Sami and Roman. He's pretty bulletproof.
Lol be honest he moved up your list of favorite wrestlers because he said something you agree with. You don't know the man at all personally, so how do you know how honest he is?
Punk did play a pivotal role backstage regarding the formation of the Shield. Also, for those who didn't know, Seth Rollins was supposed to receive rasslin training from CM Punk but couldn't since he didn't have the money to afford it at the time.
It's a rib at best, you can bet your ass that if CM punk and Rollins ever end up in the same promotion even as 70 year olds, Seth would give his life to have a feud with CM
@@Alienhos yeah legit, he literally tweeted *FIGHT ME CM PUNK* while Punk was working for FOX at WWE backstage and was one of the few to respond to the CM Punk chants - like on that one RAW show where he was like "I tried to get him here, I'm sorry but he won't show up."
AEW made a huge mistake, at first I thought Punk was out of line at the media scrum, but after looking at all the facts and understanding the backstage politics of AEW, Punk was telling the truth for the most part, regarding the elite/EVPs spreading rumors and misinformation regarding the situation with colt cabana. Then you had the idiot "Hangman" Adam Page during an interview, go into business for himself by trying to bury Punk on national television based on these ridiculous rumors. I'm unsure if he will ever be back in a wrestling ring but getting off the sinking ship that's AEW is the best thing for him, he doesn't need the drama and he also doesn't have to deal with those EVP children anymore. Seth Rollins is entitled to his own opinion, and I'm willing to bet that he himself doesn't know all the facts and the legitimate reasons Punk had for doing that media scrum. Sometimes the truth can be painful
Its maad crazy yo... it seems like a lot of people really feel this way about CM Punk no matter the company, I've met CM Punk before, he was awesome to me, if he really that bad in the locker room
He's 100% correct. As a guy who first saw Punk in LWF shows in '99 out in Midlothian until now, and was always a supporter and fan... It's pretty clear now that his problems and issues are of his own creation. The guy is an absolute drama queen and incredibly selfish and unprofessional anymore. It's a bummer, but ignoring fact because you're a fanboy is just pathetic.
I KNOW the facts. I know the drama. I know how PHIL can be. Even if I wanted to establish a professional, working relationship with him I would still not hesitate for us to get together and make something great! I will confess: I AM a fanboy, have been since 2012-13. I honestly don't care if everything he's said and done is "facts" or not; I STILL watch his matches and interviews, I STILL watch the Raw Pipebomb, I STILL listen to his theme song; Hell, I still watch his UFC segments on occasion. So don't you think that I just ignore s**t because I like the guy. I respect the living hell out of him, and I will continue to do so until I'm on my deathbed! So, there, I'm a fanboy.
@@DeadmanInc336 same here. Used to have nostalgia for CM Punk, and everything was going great until that media scrum. Ironic how he claimed Hangman was going into business for himself with that “promo.”
@@DeadmanInc336 As an aspiring professional, I agree. But you cannot doubt that that entire segment brought a new depth to how pro wrestling can be perceived. So, you forget about him; Burn his shirts for all I care. Because I don’t. You can like whoever you like, and it shouldn’t matter to me. If you think he’s a narcissistic d*ck, that’s fine. But I don’t think you’ll carry that for a long time.
I didn't realise how chill Seth Rollins actually is. I've been away from WWE for a while, so I don't really see much of it. But I actually respect his honesty, first with CM Punk and with the actual game with himself saying that it's it always up and down with these games, which he's not wrong, I personally am enjoying 2K22 and I'm curious about 2K23, but but 2K20 can just disappear for all I care. But yeah, I didn't realise that he actually seems like a chill dude.
I like how usually when WWE talent get asked questions like this they usually give a well spoken thought out answer but Seth was like Fuck that. He fired off a double barrel shotgun full of buckshot I love it.
He did want to wrestle him in an interview he talked in 2019 around Survivor Series that year. Funny because the connections with them has to do with Survivor Series.
This feud will be fire, Survivor Series will be full of rumors on the day then the Cult of Personality hits and the buzz will continue into Raw. Let the games begin
Mans is a 2 time grand slam champion, had great runs as champion, had great wrestle mania matches and won most. Has the universe rooting and loving him as heel and face and you say he doesn’t get respect or appreciation??? But if you don’t understand that, it’s cool lil man.
@@aadil4007 he ain’t 6-2 , I stood right behind him at an airport in Atlanta, I’m 6’1 and was slightly taller. It’s very widespread for wrestlers to be listed taller and heavier than they actually are. I mean some are beyond obvious.
@@saikonakamura6638 Just to clarify I was refering to Seth putting the message out CM Punk get back to WWE, not me personally - I don't feel WWE needs him at this point and I don't feel he has much to gain there either. Bret and Double J were also perma banned, Ultimate Warrior can most likely also make that list - Scott Steiner is now on a legends deal.
At this point I think it's safe to assume we'll never see Punk back in the WWE, even if he wanted to. No chance Seth says that without knowing its never going to happen.
Punk is money. Punk and Daniel Bryant are elite level talent that WWE badly needs. The door is always open for them even if Punk comes with drama. If it makes money it makes sense. They will even offer him a sweet deal with a part time schedule. Punk has Heyman/Rock/Austin/sami level promo skills and can make a decent match with anybody. Those guys are what make the angles and wwe interesting.
Who cares what Chris Jericho has to say cuz he's become what he hates an has been who sold his soul to aew so he could be a goof ball that's sponge off of good aew talent and drags them down to his sry ass level
Seth rollins didn’t drew a dime despite hunter giving him the golden spoon. Show me a rollins shirt that was as iconic as punk’s. Punk outsold cena in merch sales and have fans chanting his name when he first came to the company and years after he left the company. On the other hand, when rollins got injured, the wwe universe didn’t care enough to chant his name.
