It’s different! Setting rigid, unexplained, and non-negotiable boundaries is a great strategy when dealing with manipulative people or people who regularly mistreat us - but those strategies don’t usually work well in healthy, loving, and mutual relationships.
In healthy relationships, it helps to be more open. It helps to remember that this is a relationship that requires give and take, mutual care, and compromise.
