This printer got 76 negative reviews on the Walmart site. But it's hard to find any printer without negative reviews you just have to pretty much judge for yourself and take a chance. me myself I have the HP 8702 and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

@@HPSupport Well, I tried it, but in my apartment, I have only one wall jack. My HP is in the bedroom. And is connected to cable, modem, and phone. I put phone cord from modem in back of HP and it rang and rang. Did the fax test, And the paper that came out said fail and no answer. Now I'm lost again.😕😧
My Officejet 8040 is printing blank pages. I do not have my setup disc and have downloaded the all in one software and followed the instructions on HP's Customer Service website. I also have run all diagnostics that are available to run per the desktop application.

Just received my hp envy 7640 I bought on Amazon. The 123.HP.com website sales it's for sale. You might want to renew the domain name.... Also, having issuing setting up with my iMac. For some reason it isn't seeing the printer... I'm sure there is a workaround, or I may just connect it with the cord... First impression is this is very nice and it's quiet!

Once you have completed the steps please let me know if it resolves the issue. - While the printer is turned on, please unplug the power cord from the printer. - Please unplug the power cord from the wall. - Please wait a full 60 seconds. This will allow any residual power to drain itself. - Please plug the power cord back in to the printer and into a wall outlet. It is important that it is a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip/surge protector. - If the printer does not turn on by itself, please turn the printer on. Hi, I really need your help. I bought this printer and installed to a Windows 10 laptop computer. I noticed the HP Scan software for the "scan to computer" functionality is gone and now I need to download the HP Scan and Capture app from the Windows app store which I dislike because now I need multiple apps (one for printing and one for scanning) in order to operate my printer. Can you please tell me how to set up the "scan to computer" functionality on Windows 10 to have the ability to feed a document to the printer and then just scan directly to the laptop, rather than going to laptop, launch multiple applications, feed the document in the printer and scan? thank you

Greetings, if I am mostly printing in black ink, do I have to have ink in the other colors? I was told by HP tech support this brand of hp ink jet printer will continue to print in black.
+Evelyn Pinkard This particular printer is designed to print only when all ink cartridges have ink. A little ink from all the ink cartridges is used in periodic servicing tasks. This helps to prevent issues such as printhead clogs and poor print quality. If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print with black ink only (grayscale).Even if you change the print settings to print with black ink only, the other ink cartridges must still have ink in them in order for the printer to print. I have always used and enjoyed HP printers. You guys have great products. Just a couple of weeks ago got an ENVY 7645 and for the most part it works great. The only thing that I can't get to work is the Scan to Email. The actual document feeder works fine when i initiate the scan through my computer but when I go through the whole process of Scan to Email and select my account I get a" Preparing Scannning" message for a couple of minutes. Then an Unable to initialize web scan. I am using Windows 10. Ever heard of anything like this?

I was never able to download the driver from the internet but was able to load via the CD. Now I have gotten far enough along to find the printer will print documents but will not print to the 4x6 photo paper that was included. Any help?
I found the answer on a user blogsite. Printing from MS Office Print Manager: Select the "options" menu, then "Paper/Quality", then "Paper Source", then "Photo Tray" will allow the printer to recognize the photo paper option. The printer then remembers this setup, even if printing from Paint or other programs.
Hi, I have the Envy 7640. I bought it a couple of days ago and haven't been able to set up the wireless network. My computer sees the printer on the network. I was even able to setup my HP account and my printer is seen there. But when I run the install software, it doesn't see the printer. I put in the correct IP address, and even tried the host name. But it keeps telling me that it can't find the printer. Please help Thanks! p.s. my firewalls are down. I even uninstalled my Anti Virus program

Unfourtunately bought this piece of junk today! Takes ages to print a page, and then says it has a paper stuck in it!!! Will return it tomorrow and buy a printer from another brand!!!!!
