hi carrie!!! i want to let you know that you might just be the ENTIRE reason i journal!!! i am super obsessed and i’m on my 4th journal! I’m 11 years old and it all started with your reading my diaries videos and now i’m here. i started a tiny baby diary (that i didn’t finish😂) on january 31st, 2021! now i cant even live w/out journaling! thank you carrie walker for everything ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Carrie I love you so much! I can’t think of a way to describe how thankful I am for finding you channel! I am so happy you are posting about your faith because it’s so important! The fact that you sat down and shared the good news with people is already SO BRAVE OF YOU! You are so inspiring and kind and a great example. Hi Carrie! I have been watching your channel for a while, and I am so glad to see you do faith-based content! I just wanted to share my routine/techniques for prayer journaling, I have been doing it for a while. My goal with mine is to write in it every night. I don't always have a plan when I go to write, but intentionally doing it is what matters. Sometimes there will be specific things that I want write about or vent to the Lord, and other times I don't have anything to say other than thanking Him for the little things from the day. I also write revelations that the Lord shows me, or write about specific scripture that stuck out to me that day. Writing Prayer requests from other people are also important, so you don't forget them like me sometimes 😅.(It's also important to pause sometimes and see if God wants to speak to you!) I don't have a specific format, I just write what's on my mind or what I am feeling led to write about. And if you prefer a format, that's okay too! The only thing that matters is your intentional action to dedicate time to the Lord, and it's important to do that everyday! I feel like I pray best when I'm prayer journaling because it takes away all distraction and I get to focus on God alone. HE is all that matters! And it's so great to look back on them too and see the prayers that God answered, it just shows His awesome faithfulness! I am so glad you're doing this Carrie, I will pray for your continual growth in your relationship with our Lord! Have a blessed day everyone ❤

Hey, Carrie!! I am new-ish in my faith, too, and just as shy as you about sharing it with those outside of my Christian friends. So, don't feel alone. When I prayer journal, mine is a mixture of layouts depending on how much time I have or how much effort I want to put into it. Sometimes, it's in bullet point form. Other times, I write paragraphs, but no matter what layout, I try to include a small gratitude section to remind me of the blessings God has already provided for me. Actually, I learned that there is a correct way to pray. My women's Bible study group just finished a Daily Grace Company Bible Study on The Lord's Prayer. They explain how Jesus left it for us as a model for our prayers, and then they break each section of it down into the order you are supposed to pray. Basically, you start off with praising God in all of His Glory. Second, you repent your sins and ask for forgiveness. Third, you thank Him for all He has done for you. Fourth, you then can ask for things you need (like a regular prayer). Last, you pray for His Will to be done and for His Kingdom to come soon. It was a really great study and helped redefine my prayer life. I have seen such growth in myself as a Christian in the last month because of the study. So, I HIGHLY suggest you check out the study! It is from The Daily Grace Company online. They are super affordable! If you are interested, my church is hosting a Prayer Board workshop on Saturday, June 1st, starting at 9am. We are located an hour south of Charlottesville in Amherst County. Clifford Baptist Church, 635 Fletchers Level Rd, Amherst, VA 24521. Just get on Rt. 29 South and follow the road until you get to Fletcher's Level on the right.

I feel like if you’re doing a daily journal already, you could use the prayer journal 2-3 days a week and also whenever something pops up that you want to write down or something like that

This video was so out of no where - I just recently started really trying to grow my faith after about 3-4 of barely going through the motions. It seems like so many content creators I follow are also trying to grow in their faith too and it’s been so encouraging and inspiring! I really feel like God was definitely in this, and just wanted to share my thoughts ❤ Also for the prayer journal itself, I would maybe write in it at the beginning and end of the week, and for things that really need extra time to meditate on, or things you just really want to being to God -especially ongoing things. Hope this helped 😊

A very good video. I like how you are able to write in that font. I am unable to but then I write in old English with my quill and ink, I also decorate the borders with washi tape, stickers or stamps. This gives me some ideas on how to incorporate my journal to being also a prayer journal. Thank you for sharing this video.

I’m a Jew. In the mornings we have prayers we recite. I’m going through a lot. PSALMS really have been speaking to me. I’ve been very lucky that I can talk to my Rabbinical staff about what I’m going through. There will be special prayers this week for Passover.

Lovely video. I love your personality. You seem like such a kind young lady. I can have a lot of anxiety around my journals too, wanting them to be perfectly in line from the get go, when I barely know what I want to use them for. The way I got around it for a while was to use a spiralbound notebook so I could take pages out easily and even move them by making cuts next to the spiral holes. I recently started a hard cover bound book, and girl, the struggle is REAL. I try to keep things I could move around alot or edit on loose sheets and stick them in like bookmarks. I also like to keep open lists rather than even attempt to make what I have all even and perfect, (even though that's what my soul wants.) For the highlighters and colored pens, if sections overlap, I often find myself using both going back and forth by the sentence or paragraph, or choosing which relates more closely. Do whatever makes you feel the most satisfied. I also try to open up a journal with the mindset of "not everything has to be consistent because the human mind is never consistent," and that's what journalling is all about-- keeping record of the mind. And in this case, it's your prayer life with God, and there's nothing more raw and ever-changing than that. May God be with you, and keep up the awesome work.

I've been following the channel a while, seeing your faith journey. I am so proud of you! 💓 A few personal categories I pray about are finances, the unsaved/ witnessing, and my future husband. I haven't journaled in a while, but when I did, I wrote 3 good things, my requests, and my Bible notes. It is cool to look back and see what I prayed about compared to how it panned out. I kept mine in chronological order.

Hi, I really like the idea of keeping a separate prayer journal. I've started using field notebooks. & carrying 2 on my pocket notebook edc case. So idk how I'll incorporate my prayers in using only 2 notebooks. Mybe, I'll use a 3rd one or even a regular sized journal, but I'm not sure yet. But u really inspired me to try this jdea out. I can't wait for more faith-based videos, too. But take ur time w/ as well. I know I'm in a similar situation w/ praying out loud & sharing my faith. Carrie this is amazing! I remember a few years ago watching you talk about how you weren’t sure what you believed in, I am so happy to hear this!! Remember God loves you, and his spirit will lead and guide you in to all truth! ❤ I will put you in my prayer list and pray for you to grow in the lord! Also a little recommendation of my own is to start reading and praying over your readings in the book of Acts, Acts is the start of the New Testament church! Acts chapter 2 and 10 will show you the set up of the New Testament church when Jew and Gentiles were given the spirit of God and baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus ! Mark 16:16 ❤. I’m a catholic but I am starting to lose faith so i am trying to believe again and watching this video is helping me! Yesterday was my country’s 5th anniversary of the Easter bombing if you dont know about it on Easter some people bombed many churches. Those bombings took so many innocent lives with it i am Sri Lankan btw (I know some people would think this is weird but i am a 12 year old BOY who loves journaling sometimes my friends laugh at me saying “its for girls!”but it really helps me! I just started I ordered a proper journal and some look alike Mildliners which look exactly like zebra mildliners. I love journaling!!! Thank you Carrie for inspiring me ❤

Ideas- you can “tab” the side of the page with a certain color dot in a certain spot to mark prayers for different categories BuJo style?

You could use two color pens. One color will be your core prayer that you prayer everyday and the other color can be praying for those who ask for pray and if God speaks something to you you would write it in the second color.

Hi Carrie! An idea that might be good to try is leaving a few lines after your prayers to write any answers, revelation, etc that the Lord reveals to you from that prayer! :)

As an autistic person with Catholic grandparents from India who literally thought I had demons because I was born the way I am, I have always had a bad view of Christianity and Catholicism. Even when I was older and attended church and tried to find my way back to God, I was pushed aside because of my identity and sexual orientation and even my disability. Like you're saying, there is not enough good representation of Christianity, people often say "there is no hate like Christian love" and rightfully so, since I've received that kind of "love" myself. I want to become a Christian and follow the faith because I feel it's right for me, but I'm almost hesitant because of everything that has happened to me in the past. Maybe finding your video here is a sign or something. Thank you for sharing
