FAITH Q&A✨ | tips for beginners, how I became Christian, Bible journaling, gaining confidence & more 

Hello everyone!! Thank you for being here :) I filmed this video over a month ago, and I feel like I’ve already learned a lot more that I wish I said in this video. My Dad (who is such a bible nerd but in the best way possible) taught me a trick on how to annotate verses. So you lightly skim the text first and if you find any verses stick out to you or you’re not sure what it means you can write what it means to you and then you read a commentary to see if it changes your view and then write your complete thoughts.

I'm a born and raised practicing Catholic and I have a specific memory of a time when I was journaling in adoration. I was writing along to a guide on an app called Hallow and one of the prompts was to write like God was speaking to you. So basically just write what you think he would say. And the first thing that came to my mind was him telling me, “I am the light you are waiting for” and that spoke to me. Especially because of the place I was in at the time. I was discouraged that a lot of my friends were being distant and I was waiting for someone to care about me the way I needed. So that being the first thing that came to mind was beautiful :)

Hi Carrie!! I am not Christian but I love watching your videos, and you have such a beautiful energy so of course I am going to watch your faith content! I am always up for learning about other’s experiences and how they differ from mine. It is because we have this big difference in religion that I choose to keep watching, because it is important for me to learn about how my co-inhibitors of the earth live. I have been questioning my faith for a couple months now, and over the past week, I have really honed down on my faith. Not only are you my favourite RU-vid channel, you also inspire me with videos like this and how I to can grow more in my faith. ❤❤❤

I’m so thankful you’re stepping out of your comfort zone and sharing your faith!! I’ve been a Christian all my life and Ive had so much trouble finding RU-vidrs that will encourage me to, for example, start a prayer journal and read my Bible more! I had one when I was 10-12 and I would write in it about once a week and looking back I can see how my faith has grown and how God has answered my prayers back then :)

This video is such an encouragement for me. It’s awesome to see how God has been working in your life. It’s definitely not easy at times to share the Gospel with others, and that’s something I still really struggle with, as someone who has been a Christian almost all of my life. That is one of the areas where I have a hard time for some reason, so I’m happy to see you being outspoken online about your journey. Sometimes I don’t feel like I have an important story to share, but I believe He’ll use me regardless. God is using you in great ways because you are obedient to him. Thank you for being bold in your faith and sharing this. I’m cheering you on, as a sister in Christ!

Your story is so beautiful to me because I also found faith recently. As a young child, my family was very religious (I was saved then) but then we moved away from that. Last year I really was not in a good place. Someone I randomly met encouraged me to read God’s Word. I started to, and I met someone else who really has helped me so much in my faith. I found a wonderful church much more easily than I ever would have imagined, and I was just baptized a few weeks ago. God is so good, and I praise Him for all He has done in my life and in yours!

I am Jewish. I do my Torah study in the afternoon. It’s after my online classes for my day program for adults with Autism. Then I can really focus on my Torah study. I am very secure in my faith. I wear a talit and kippah at services. When we go on our cruise I will take my Torah book with me along with my prayer book for Rosh Hashanah to prepare myself for a new year coming up in October. On the Hebrew calendar we will be entering the year 5785.

I recently started a prayer journal where everyday so far I just write to God about what's on my mind. This video will help me think of more stuff for my journal.

19:44 reminded me of this verse: “Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26) I wish I could support this video more. I'm so happy you've become a Christian and are working on your spiritual growth! I was raised atheist, would turn my head or change the subject when others talked about God. At some point in college, I felt like I could no longer deny God and accepted Him into my life. I wanna say this was in 2015? 2016? So a while ago but still fairly new. You are leaps and bounds ahead of me in your faith! Hi Carrie I had one question and a recommendation! My question is are you following a specific form of Christianity? And my recommendation is for people looking for a good bible I use the she reads truth bible it includes timelines, definitions, and stories by the author! (It’s a great starter bible or just one that’s a bit easier to read)

Watching this video brought me to tears. I love how authentic you are and I can see Jesus in you. I grew up Christian but only a year ago came to truly KNOW God. You are a light. I have been praying for you since I started watching you because the holy spirit had you on my heart (Not to brag or anything lol).But you becoming a beliver is the biggest answer to my prays and no doubt many others. God did give you the words and he will bless you for stepping out in faith and sharing the good news that you now hold. Remember you don't need to have the perfect words. If you don't know what to read next in the bible I highly recommend John James and Roman's and if you want some old testiment get into psalms and proverbs. I love you girl keep on and don't give up and you will reap your harvest.❤

I started reading this past few weeks through the Bible and truly studying the Word. I have a visual impairment so I use a digital journaling bible, and I love it! I tried prayer journaling today and it made me feel so amazing. Finding this video honestly answered my prayer of finding more clarity and a spark with God! So thank you and thank the Lord!

This was a beautiful video! Your faith is shining through as you speak! What an encouragement you are to others! I have an Old Testament journal and a New Testament journal . After reading a paragraph I like to summarize it in my own words to get a better understanding . Then I like to decorate the message with pens, stickers,hand lettering etc. Thank you for your encouragement!

As a non-Christian who grew up catholic, I can commend you for your bravery in sharing something so close to your heart! I am not in a place in my life where I am open to believing again, maybe I will in this lifetime, maybe I won't. But I do want to say that good, kind people will appreciate you and your faith and how you choose to practice regardless of what they believe, as long as you respect their faith choices too, so I really appreciate you being respectful of not pushing too hard. People who feel inclined to believe are much more likely to do so if your faith shows through in your actions and how you treat others and treat yourself. I am agnostic, but I certainly wouldn't be offended if someone asked to pray for me out of genuine concern!

This was such a wonderful video. I love that you were going to put it off for another day but the Lord said “no, Carrie, it’s time” and you listened and he gave you the words to speak. I was raised Christian and have had a spiritual battle my entire life. Now that I am a mama I am trying to make it more consistent and conscious so I can raise my daughter children in church and teach them to love Christ

I personally believe that for the Bible flip through, you should do what your comfortable with. I think that just like your journals, you should share(if you decide to) what you believe will help others find their journey to the Lord. I’m struggling right now, but whenever I think about it or write about it, I always feel internal peace and see positive signs that push me towards wanting to continue. Thank you for posting these videos, they always come at a time where i’m thinking about trying harder :)

Carrie I am a Christian I have a question for you how can I get into reading my Bible daily in the evening and pray daily how can I take god more seriously in my life I want to connect more for christ please help me I want to grow closer to God more than ever

I find that taking my time and studying my Bible is more valuable than just reading it straight through. It's living, so we'll notice different things reading it at different times. Honestly, some days I read a verse. Also Christian music is helpful. Maybe recommend some songs. If you Bible journaled with us, you could study further on your own. It's definitely important to protect your relationship with God. Maybe study a common story, not something super deep. Or do a short, rather than a full video.

I was raised Catholic and it was not the best experience - to say the least - lots of Catholic guilt that has shaped my anxiety in a not so good way. But it’s nice to see Christian’s that actually love everyone and not want you to change for the lord. I am not Christian anymore, I’m actually Wiccan, but I still wanted to watch this video to understand the Christian’s perspective as my mom is now a die hard Christian! This was a great video, thank you! I very much understand being the black sheep of the family, it can be pretty lonely, I could go on but I just wanted to say thank you!!

An idea for incorporating faith into your life unobtrusively for others is to pray before meals. Even just pausing and praying silently can be an inspiring example of faith for others. 🤍 Hope this helps from a fellow believer :)

Totally random but a book recommendation for you is Georges Bernanos' "The Diary of a Country Priest". It is considered a Christian classic and definitely opened up my mind.

Carrie, Have you seen the Parrallel Bible? It has 4 different translations of the Bible printed alongside each other, so you can compare the wording and understand better what the author was saying (NIV, KJV, Amplified KJV, and NASB). There is also the Interliner Bible which has the original Greek New Testament with translation in parrallel with a modern English version. This is great for some of the more difficult passages. There is an old testament interlinear with Hebrew and English. There is also Strong's Concordance which cross references topics discussed in different parts of the Bible. You may be able to get some of these from your local library as they are expensive. With all that said, keep doing what you are doing. It looks very good for a first pass through the bible. Just be aware of the factual resources that are available to further your understanding. I found it really helpful to read the Sermon on the Mount in Greek (Matthew 5:27-28 in particular). I started out with the New Jerusalem New Testament, which paraphrases into modern English. What is called an idea for idea translation. I ended up not liking this because it interjects the translator's opinions too much. I now prefer the more precise translations. Best of luck with your Bible, I wish you well.

Set time aside to actually dive deep and study your Bible. Whenever you have time during the day just pick a random book and read. So you can get through the Bible as reading it cause some of the stories are just crazy fun to read.

I am a Christian and have been my whole life. Testimony is the things that happens in your life that proves that Jesus is real. I have a strong testimony that Christianity is the way to go. I also acknowledge that the bad experiences in my life are there to help me grow and I thank the Lord for the good and bad experiences in my life. I also wanted to ask, if its alright, would you be open to reading other versions of the Bible? Of course when you're done reading the version that you’re currently reading.

As an atheist I don’t believe in god, but I am spiritual and I believe in “the universe” and zodiacs and astrology. This was a nice video to watch though! I don’t understand anyyything about religion at all, but just wanted to sayy❤
