I'm stoked you got that Real board! I want one! All of the best tricks I've ever done in my life was on a team oval, the blue 8.5, same that Jim rides, and I had a lot of em, have fun with that bad boy!
Looks sick. I just recently setup an 8.5 Ishod twin tail, Indy 159s, 52mm spitfire classics, shake junt bearings, and mob grip. I used to ride 8.25-8.3 on 149s, but loving bigger board and trucks. It just works.
just swapped from riding twin tail boards for like 2-3 years to a Hockey board and man how its different in a really good way.. been a long time since ive felt this comfy on a board.. there shape and wheel base is just so nice in my opinion
@@AspiringSpaceWizard They are fire. there shape has helped me out alot witht higs i struggled with.. shuvits and pop shuvits might be funky at first tho
Looks sweet id give it a spin for sure, im currently riding a creature gravette vx 8.5 wide by 32.25" long with 14.37 wheelbase with hollow light venture highs, hazard wheels cortina bearings and enjoi rails and its fire, i like the fact my truck is smaller then my board which helps with the leverage for all flip trick 👌🏼🇦🇺
Yes boi! I’d ride that! Just set up a real 8.25 ishod designed by natas 🫡 thunder hollow lights II bronson raws and og classic 53mm 🔥 I feel you with the trucks… stuck mine on my 8inch before the 8.25 arrived and I was feeling the lock in with the smaller deck 🤔
149 on 8.25 gives me more stability in general, not just for grinds, I also get more control with my flip tricks and I can manual for days it feels like
I dug the idea of the short wheelbase Ishod, but being a limited edition it's suuper exxy in Australia. It's been tricky to find an alternative. Something with mellow/mid concave and steepish kicks, 8.0 width and
EASY RIDER, NOT STARRING JACK NICHOLSON BUT SPENCER NUZZI ON HIS SKATEBOARD THRASHING IT UP. HE RIDES EASY, BUT IS NOT CHEEZY. HAIL NUZZI, AND SKATE LIKE AN UZI. SPENC HAS THE MOVES TO PROVE.
149 on 8.25 is also my setup ... more stable and I SEE my wheels (Spitfire OG Classics) and it don't feels like a hoverboard! Awesome setup ...! 🫡 Regards from Austria 🛹🇦🇹🍻
I love real boards Im on my 2nd one the team oval in 8.25 I ridden santa cruz, creature, powell flight, and blind I have to say my real boards lasted the best solid pop the flight deck was nice but a little bendy for me idk and razor tail
Got the 8.38 anti hero eagle with the easy riders concave getting delivered tomorrow. Excited to try it out. Got the 149 hollows to run on my 8.38 also
@spencernuzzi Those 48mm wheels are what I skated in th 90s. Boardycakes, too. Good for nose/tail slides, some grinds, and flip tricks. Drip Drops are the smallest I ever skated 38 mm, and they still make em'. Hope you enjoy!
Idk if this is the right way but when i apply rails i screw em in, the unscrew em to sand around the edges of the holes down, sometimes even with a razor just cut the bumps, and then put the rails back on after. That way its flush
have you ever tried putting washers on the inside of the axle? i know you like your nut to be flush with the axle. this would help with the rattling if that bugs u
Are you on the pepper g5, but not the galaxy stuff with the sparkly bit? I'm pretty keen to try that plain black one after trying the galaxy one. They say pepper grips better than jessup but rips up shoes less than them.
I'd recommend Santa Cruz Slimlines over the Pigs if you like thinner rails. I tried out the pig rails, and my biggest problem with them is the screws they come with don't seem to grab into the wood that well and seem prone to stripping. But ya, rails are rails and can confirm the pig rails slide just fine
I've riden a real skateboard a few times an it's always been my experience that they were "real" flat.....now that I think about it...antihero decks have tha same shape...as tha time old saying goes "flatter then a white girls butt".....lol.....
