Can you explain to me why when Im spending 400$ on a headset I'm not even getting everything I need to hook it up i need to spend another 50 on cords you should be providing with the insane 400$ price tag like huh
I think this is my first comment ever on yt and yeah, definitely a little PO after paying that price just to head back to the store. Like everyone just has extra hdmi 2.1 cables laying around. I didn’t even know there was a difference until today…
Honestly they should’ve done a usb instead of that stupid dock. I had turtle beaches and I’ll I had to do was pair them to my Xbox no usb required. Now Ima have to do cable management for something that could’ve been designed perfectly. Hats off to turtlbeach not one problem I had with them in the past 2+ years. I’m definitely going back once these break
Will there be also a Dongle version available in the near future? I dont like the base, i dont care if i must replug the dongle when i wanna uae a other console or wanna switch to pc
Do I have to manually change output devices if I want audio coming out of my tv instead of the headset? Most headsets do this automatically so this is annoying
mine plays audio with either usb or HDMI, when used together it doesn’t play audio, but allows me to access dolby… Its unfortunate as well because it doesn’t let me access Dolby with only one or the other, despite having already purchased Dolby in the past
they want you to buy another HDMI cable. for nearly $400 They can give you another HDMI cable It's kind of BS. I'm intrigued but you needing to buy another HDMI cable high-end nevertheless and then he got to find another plug to plug this thing into the wall as well... I'm really intrigued but you're kind of making me like not want to buy it because of this BS.. I get the plug it into the wall at least but shit you should 100% be giving us a HDMI cable
Yeah I got mine today and I’m extremely disappointed, they don’t even work right on some monitors cause you to have to lower your resolution and they’re just hideous for cable management having to have 6 cables plugged in and having to use a wall outlet is insane
@@AzrealJ well that's fucking concerning.. also thanks for the update my dude. I just picked up a PS5 for helldivers and I'm like hey I got both consoles now be nice just to swap between instead of buying another headset. I just bought another a50 It was on sale at Best buy. Just makes me more glad I didn't buy those things because all the reviews just keep saying it's the same thing as the a50 but it can just switch between stuff unless you buy HDMI cables for the cable hoard you'll have
I get that this should be an issue but two thing. Most monitors come with dedicated cables both DisplayPort and HDMI and consoles also come with them. Chances of not already having the right cables for use are extremely slim. On the part about the resolution you can fix that using the control panel for the card itself and is usually a card limitation. Over DisplayPort my current rig can play up to 144fps on 4k but only 100fps on HDMI.
@@Alpha_Runawayidc how slim the chances are of someone not having another hdmi cable. For $400 it’s absolutely absurd to not include one. If this was a cheap headset then yeah okay fine…. But it’s not… At all. Some people may not have extra cables laying around, bc honestly if you have everything you think you need already then why would you? Now on top of the load of money you just spent on a headset, you’ve also gotta go back to the store to get another cable that 100% should’ve been included in the first place. Completely fkn asinine. If I had known this before I bought my set, I honestly probably wouldn’t have bought it just based off of principle. Not to mention it’s way overpriced for the marginal “upgrade” to begin with. Cable probably would’ve cost them less than $2 to include. Give me a fkn break. I refuse to make excuses for corporate greed ESPECIALLY at these kinds of prices.
@@NevetsRaelthis is me right now. Just got home with it and tried to hook it up to an Xbox and I have to take another half hour ride back to the store for a cable. I’m tempted to just return the stupid thing and get something else.
Just a question about this headset will the accessories from the previous a50s work on them and that also includes third party accessories as I bought some earpads from a third party company
So everything works but I’ve noticed whenever I’m using the headset there feels like there’s an input delay. Do you know why I have 120 and 4K enabled?
I’m not sure if anyone else had this issue but the headset was picked up by the Xbox but I couldn’t hear audio unless I went into the accessories app on the Xbox and turned it off. The fix was to unplug the hdmi that runs from the Xbox to the base station and run it directly to the monitor. Im assuming it’s because my monitor is a bit old and doesn’t support hdmi 2.1
So the issue I'm having, and I'm positive it isn't the volume being low. Is that no audio is being sent to my headphones. I'm not hearing anything, despite the Xbox telling me the headset is assigned. Even my coms show up in the Xbox party
Same issue and support has not found a way to help fix. For now I just run my hdmi directly to my monitor from the Xbox and connect the USB to the headphone base, that connects with sound.
I ran into this and had to my tvs (lg oled c2) audio settings and then go the hdmi channel that I had the base station connected to. Then I had to change the hdmi channel from bitstream to pcm. I don’t really know if it’s supposed to work like this
Dude i just got mind today and they sound great on my pc and ps5 but on my xbox they sound low asf the only time they get loud on my xbox is if I play music with apple music but thats it games still sound low and it say to use the headset to adjust sound settings like party audio but it doesn't work.
With my Xbox one. I did not have to have another HDMI direct to my Monitor from my basestation for this to still work. What is that one for? Is this okay? I only have one from my basestation direct to my Xbox and one from my Xbox to my Monitor.
@@jwigs91 make sure the hdmi and usb cable are connected to the dock and your console if the usb is not connected then the microphone part wont work just audio
Ok so my solution was to put the headset output at Windows Sonic lol, it won’t work with Dolby without a convoluted change that has to change every time you swap games or programs.
Works perfect on my ps5 but doesn’t work on my Xbox (the mic can hear sound but can’t use mic) any reason for this? Is it needed to have a hdmi 2.1 monitor
For some reason after I plugged everything in I was no longer able to get my 4K 120hz monitor to do 120hz. I had to lower the quality to 1440p to run 120hz. I even bought two new HDMI cables that support 8k 120hz. Any ideas how to fix this?
I just rewired my headset/base station every different way possible and I still can’t get my Warzone graphics to the same quality as without the 2 hdmi cable setup
Really don't know what to do. My A50s randomly stopped working & £359 is a lot to pay for the A50X, especially when you need to buy a 2.1 hdmi cable on top of it. The A50 only had 1 wire to work, why does this require so many?!?
When I select the Dolby atmos home teathre the sound disappear,if I put stereo no compress it work but is not so powerful the audio. Can you answer please if you are brave enough ?!
Shouldn’t be an issue. They are just telling you to put it on because the Xbox will recognize the base station as a new TV and you will likely have to redo any settings. It’s just reminding people to recalibrate their HDR because of this.
Yes, if you keep HDR10 off and play at 4K 60Hz, it won't interfere with the headset setup. The product is fully capable of passing through 4K 60 content without HDR.
Does the HDMI option on the base provide true for console? I'm using an Xbox Series but playing on a PC monitor (which doesn't have an optical port). I'm desperately trying to get back the 7.1 sound
Cause I remember on gen 4 I had to use a receiver to be able to use the opt cord in order to get that actually top quality sound and idk if u can even do it with this one seeing it doesn’t even have tht port anymore
This is kinda a mess. Then for me you have to include my home surround sound system that I pass threw also with hdmi cables so I’d have to go from Xbox-surround sound-headset-tv it’s a cool idea but I think the hdmi setup is not the greatest.
Question!!! Why is it that I can get sound but I can’t get picture to appear on my monitor? I tested all the hdmi cords but when connecting the base station I can only get sound
I cant even get my mic to work on my xbox its saying that theres no microphone when my mic works fine somebody help i do not want my near $400 going to waste
I’m in the same boat, my monitor has 2.0 which means it doesn’t support Dolby atmos headphones. I’m not going to buy another monitor that has the 2.1 on top of the hdmi I already bought for 20 dollars. This headset is trash
I’ve had the headset for 3 days. And only get a headache. No matter what you turn off and put down. It’s RUSHing all the damn time. It stays the same loud all the time. Unless you also adjust to hear your voice. Then the noise is 4 times as loud. Does anyone have a solution. How can this be fixed? Even if the dock has no power. The headset is noisy.
I spent $750 Aussie dollars, and then spent money for the Dolby app (23 more), and additionally another 28 for a HDMI cable. This product did not need to be this complex. Especially when the diagram does not specify what specs the HDMI cable required. I had an A50 before this, that just clicked across to swap between PC and Xbox. Why do we need additional USB and HDMI cables, when it could have been so much simpler? Poor product design.
Same here. Even worse, if I connect Xbox>a50x>monitor through HDMI, it doesn’t work at 1440p 120hz, I have to choose between 1440 at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz. It bugs me off. Heard it is related to a outdated Astro firmware to the Samsung G8 32”.
Is there a reason we have to uncheck hdmi cec options ? or can that stay on cause I like turning my Xbox on and my tv turns on with it and vice vice versa when I turn my console off
I’m so confused on why Logitech just doesn’t include an HDMI cable when the docking station needs one to turn on. Like if that’s the case, then just include an HDMI cable with it. And why does it need a power block to be plugged in to then plugged into a wall? The A50’s don’t need that so why does this one? Ridiculous and moronic.
worthless headset piece of garbage compared to A40’s it’s actually embarrassing at how much of a downgrade this is. I’m trying to hook up a50s and i’m lost. I did a40’s without a manual for 10 years
