Stuart .. first of all, huge thanks. I have been doing WSJT-X for 3 years now and manually uploaded to LOTW. With your videos, I am now automated. I did have an issue with my CQ Zone but your video showed how to fix it and it is good now.
Hi David, It's always a challenge as to what to include and not include... Some folks just need a few key points and others need soup to nuts to get it done... Stu AG6AG
Thanks Stuart, Excellent narration. I have been using LOG4OM since QRZ changed their logbook version. I could not understand the YES, NO , REQUESTED setting under the Confirmations tab . My log has a pile of Yes, Sent , No , Requested all the way through it and now im confused about what status is correct . I have taken your advice and set both my logbooks QRZ & LOTW to No for Sent & Received. The function of auto upload to them both works very well . Thank you for helping others . Stu ZL2XC
Stuart, I have been trying to set up my log to upload to LoTW. Your directions are great and easy to follow. When I attempt to test uploading one QSO to LoTW I get an error back and the upload is rejected. The error shows at a mismatch between what I upload and what my ITU zone is. I have it set in log4OM as zone 7 and the upload is sending zone 6. Where can that mismatch be generated? I checked all the log4OM settings and they say zone 7. Can it be coming from WJST-X? Hi Bill, Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. This is an issue that can be hard to diagnose, but this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6ZwD9RULIY.html covers the setup issues that seem to be the cause of upload and data issues as well as the fixes for them. Let me know if this helps! Stu AG6AG
There is really nothing "automatic" about manually uploading to LOTW from the QSO manager. I shouldn't have to go there and sort through what QSOs need to be uploaded. I seldom exit LOG4OM, but when I try the "Automatic upload on application close" option, the program freezes and the upload never occurs.
Hi Stuart. You got me lost on the moment where you do some Recording Magic at 7:50. I did everything step by step My QSL manager window stays empty for some reason. Can you, or someone else, help me out ... I have no clue to get it working from that point. 73 ON1JV
Hi Jan, I really need to place a note there explaining what is happening. What I'm referring to as 'the magic of recording' me moving from the fresh install system to a system that has been used for a while. My Bad... The key is that you need to import your logs from other software or services to Log4OM. I'll try to put a comment in the video at that point for reference. Stu AG6AG
@@AG6AG I think I know what I didn't understand. I selected Sqlite I think it is .... so in QSL manager you have todo the same thing to get the list. After Select the whole list upload should be working I guess ... correct ?

Thnx for a very good video! Followed your instructions and it works to manually upload QSL to LOTW from LOG4OK 2 v.2.30.1.0. But it does NOT upload on exit (although I have checked "Automatic upload on applicatiopn close"). upload flag set to NO on booth External services and in Confirmation sections. Any hint? 73 de SA5QED David
Hi David, So the only issues I have seen when the LoTW settings and the Confirmation settings are correct, is that there is an issue with a password of a key password for the signing key or something like that. When you run the upload manually do you get a password prompt or are you able to proceed without interaction? Stu AG6AG
Well It didn't work for me. I may need a little help. IM not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe we can schedule a remote section so you can look at my settings. Or if you prefer to call me I will give you my phone number by email. I'm good in QRZ NP4M is the call letters.
By the magic of recording? doesn't really help to find out how you got the list to appear, great for the video bad for those just starting out on this system, How did you get the list to appear? otherwise a very helpful video
Hi Terence, I actually imported all my QSO info from my "Real Log4OM" Program. I thought that was something that probably wouldn't need to be shown, in this video, but apparently it wasn't clear what I did. Sorry and hope that clears it up... Stu AG6AG
@@AG6AG thanks Stu, yeah that's cool, I thought I was doing something wrong. I had a lightning strike here and it took out my laptop that I only bought in April, getting a new one in about a week so Log4OM will need to be set up on that one too now, thanks for your helpful videos and I may be in touch soon
Hi Stewie, You probably want to watch this video as it covers some really important stuff regarding your settings. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P6ZwD9RULIY.html The info about uploading QSOs that have are in your log but have not been uploaded is talked about in the second half, but you want to watch the beginning to prep your log and fix some possible errors. Hope it helps! Stu AG6AG
Hi Yeahitsk, Thanks for letting me know it helped you get setup. The mixture of technologies we get to play with in Amateur Radio allows us all learn new fun things. It's my pleasure to be part of your journey. Stu AG6AG
I see some are saying they instantly upload their QSO's to LoTW from log4om. Thought that was not allowed ? But wondering if you can do a video on transfering your Log4om2 setup from one computer to another ?
Hot off the presses... This will show you how to transfer the configuration and how to backup your key. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k_jnXZxlo2Q.html Hope it helps! Stu AG6AG
