1. Use a list and break into categories- use notebook eg Evernote 2. Think and pray in concentric circle - from people you know to more general or people you know less 3. Pray the word of God over those people- 4. Periodically assess your prayers to what are prayed in the NT 5. Mingle general prayers with specific prayers 6. Be quiet over the people and see if God brings anything to mind 7. Look for answers and keep a journal Let the Word refresh your prayers
As a believer in Christ, prayer is the only access we have in order to live Godly lives and walking in the will of God. Yet we tend to somehow do it haphazardly. Please pray for me that my prayer life will be passionate, engaging, and intentional. Thanks all
Pastor John, the way you answered this question makes me wanna go and apply this immediately. It's a desire now to fill heaven with the sweet fragrance of prayer. 😃
God is so good, I was coming out of the movement in churches that say prayer is decreeing and declaring. And I was pleading with God, how then should I pray and how can I start. I come across this video which someone of the same name (first name) asks this same question. It feels like Pastor John is talking directly to me.
This just shows how junior I am in my prayer life. Father I pray on my ability through Jesus our Lord to correlate a consistent and fluent pattern of prayer which cover many facets emanating from the Word. Thank you Pastor John. Thank you Jesus our Lord, Amen.
This advice will be relevant to all serious believers who want to have meaningful and impactful prayer life this side of eternity! I needed this guidance today and i specifically searched for this message so that i can be able to pray especially for my unbelieving family members, my church family and other affairs of the World. May God be glorified through this Ministry of APJ!
so much content so relevant for present times too. God is indeed awesome. He knows all. He knows exactly what we need at all times. thanks be to God for His provision.
Thank you for helping us *desire God* I know God is pleased with you and will give you a crown. I'm gonna pray for your ministry, you're a real great help in glorifying God.
Something I've found to be really powerful is to pray 3 times a day. At least 15 minutes in the morning after reading a psalm. A small prayer at lunch, similar to the lords prayer Math 6:9. And lastly at night after reading the Bible. I'm not eloquent so I like to repeat verses from psalms. I'm 17 and I'm very happy for you that your learning to follow jesus so young. Keep on the straight and narrow and always test what teachers tell you. Keep people around you that also love God and will stay by your side through tough times. And remember sometimes *you* will need to be that friend for someone else. God bless you!
Its amazing to hear you call somebody who murdered Christians "the greatest man to live, short of Jesus" but this proves Gods purpose in Paul, that these words will echo about him thousands of years later.I believe God is truly glorified in Paul's redemption, he stands as a pinnacle in understanding Gods grace.I have only ever spoken to the LORD once and it was about Him punishing me for adultery while i breathe, He said I will go on to do His work like King David did even though my actions were so displeasing to Him.I feel many people are so ashamed of their sins they do not fully believe God will forgive them, scripture proving otherwise is one of our greatest assets to understanding a God whose mercy is infinitely greater than our sin.If somebody truly believes their sin is too great then they place a price on salvation and that is tragic.
BUT HOW DO I DO IT WHERE ITS NOT REPETITION! OR A LIST THAT I DO EVERY SINGLE DAY.. I WANT MY PRAYER LIFE TO INCLUDE PRAYING FOR OTHERS BUT HOW DO I DO IT WHERE IT DOES NOT FEEL LIKE A CHECK LIST? THAT IM DOING EVERY DAY???? Is prayer really a check list???
Hi Valerie, you do not need to kneel, but do submit your heart to God in all things. Call it ‘spiritual kneeling’ as a submissive attitude before His Greatness. He loves you! Blessings, Donna
Elisabeth Thunderberry . that will lead us to sin if we are irregular in our prayers. as simple as if we dont take our food regularly causes illhealth.
Confess your sins to one another? I don't know how to interpret this, is it literal? I was under the impression that we confess our sins to the one and only God Jesus Christ. Or to repent of our sins to God only..
