This seems to me, very similar to why God did not destroy Israel in the wilderness. Moses says, "Why should the Nations say, 'He brought them out of Egypt to destroy them.'?" - in other words, God is dishonored when ill befalls those who call on His name, and those under His protection. It follows therefore, thet He would be glorified when they prosper, and when their prayers are answered.

More update❤ version in Christ❤😊. Genesis 35:16-29(The Death of Rachel and Isaac) "16 Then they journeyed from Bethel. When they were still some distance from Ephrath Rachel went into labor, and he had hard labor. 17 And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her, " Do not fear for you have another son." 18 And as her soul was departing( for she was dying), she called his name Ben-0ni; but his father called him Benjamin. 19 So Rachel❤ died, and she was buried on the way to Ephrath( that is, Bethlehem), 20 and Jacob set up a pillar over her tomb. It is the pillar of Rachel 's tomb, which is there to this day. 21 Israel❤ journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder. 22 While Israel❤ lived in that land, Reuben went and lay with Bilhah( " Bilhah" was Rachel's servant Genesis 35:25b) his father's concubine. And Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob( Israel❤) were twelves. 23 The sons of Leah: Reuben( Jacob's first born), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. 24 The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin. 25 The sons of Bilhah, Rachel's servant: Dan and Naphatli. 26 The sons of Zilpah, Leah's servant: Gad ans Asher. These were the sons of Jacob( Israel❤) who born to him in Paddan- aram. 27 And Jacob( Israel❤) came to his father Isaac❤ at Mamre, or Kiriatg- arba( that is, Hebron), where Abraham❤ and Isaac❤ had(" had" past tense) sojourned. 28 Now the days of Isaac were 180 years.( How old was Isaac when he died? "180 years"( Genesis 35:28b ESV Study Bible and Genesis 35:29 showed he died because Genesis 35:29 said) "29 And Isaac breathes his last, and he died and was gathered to his people, old and full of days. And his sons Esau and Jacob(Israel❤) buried him( Isaac❤)."( Genesus 35:16-29 ESV Study Bible. Jesus(😊1st❤ my Lord and my savior in Christ too) has risen( Matthew 28:7😊❤)in Christ to us in Christ. Matthew 28:7( Under the context of Matthew 28:1-10( The Resurrection ) of our Lord and our Savior, Jesus😊1st❤ in Christ😊❤. Matthew 23:16-22 "16 " Woe to you, blind guides, who say, " If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing but if anyonw swears by the gold of the temple, he is is bound by his oath.' 17 You blind fools! ( not man but men! ) for which is greater, the gift or the altar that make the gift sacred? 20 So whatever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21 And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it. 22 And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God(😊100%❤) and by him(😊100%❤) who sits upon it." Jesus😊1st❤ our Lord and our savior in Christ said in Matthew 23:23-24. Matthew 23:23-24 "23 Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. Piper: Your credo “God is most glorified in us when we’re most satisfied in Him” is inward-looking & egocentric. We glorify God by trusting and obeying Jesus Christ. Gauging your level of “satisfaction” with God is man-centered and absurd.

You don’t obey God if you don’t find pleasure and joy in obeying Him. You only think you actually honor Him if this is the case. To not find His law a JOY to obey, you aren’t obeying. You’re a Pharisee with a dead heart playing pretend on the outside. “I delight in your law” - can you say this? Or is there no joy? If there is not joy, your obedience isn’t from the heart and it is detestable to God.

@@DylanGalvinMusic It is true, I don’t always delight in God. Does this mean I’m not a Christian? Is this the new litmus test for Christianity? Sometimes obeying God entails doing things that are decidedly unappealing. God is glorified when I obey; even more, when I find obedience hard, unappealing, not fun, laborious, etc. PS I’ve never had the opportunity to call anyone a Pharisee. How can you tell if someone is, truly, a Pharisee? Or is that a name that is used to cast maximum aspersion when you disagree? You know, like racist or idolator?

@@user-xq2bm3nq8y I think you misunderstand what he means by being satisfied in God. This is not an ego-centric, or man-centered concept like prosperity teachings, as you seem to be describing. On the contrary, what I've gathered from listening to John Piper, is thet our satisfction in God is quite apart from, and in spite of our circumstances. It is our recognition thet He is all thet matters in our life.

@@JusticeBackstrom Piper needs to realize that words have meaning. Example: “Christian” hedonism. What a pathetic misuse of the language. Has he ever heard of Christian joy? No, Piper likes to shock and titillate. Continually. Did you hear him last week when he said our love for Jesus should be erotic? And when he’s not shocking or titillating, he simply obfuscates. Yeah, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, praise His holy name! John Piper? Not so much.

@@user-xq2bm3nq8y Then you'd be no different than Piper or Sproul or any other Christian. All struggle with finding joy in obedience, but this is why Piper makes this the focus of his ministry. We must stop there, reluctantly obeying. God wants cheerful givers and joy filled believers. God is not glorified when you are miserable in obedience because all false religions can have joyless disciplined practitioners. When your heart is truly joyous because you know your savior will keep you even though you haven't slept in days or you have cancer or you just found out your loved one is gone - THAT is what the Pharisees can't fake. A Pharisee begrudgingly goes through the externals of whatever religion (even with a bible) but their heart does not rejoice nor is it thankful. It is transactional toward God - "I do this for you God, then you give me heaven in the end" which is the premise of all false religion. It is impossible to fake joy amidst trial and suffering, which is why it glorifies God the most - it eliminates all accusations and ideas that the only reason you follow God is because of what things He gives you but instead declares - "I follow God because of who He is". This is the exact argument being clarified in the book of Job, the focus of the Pauline writings and the purpose of Jesus' entire ministry - to show an undeserving people who God is so they can enjoy Him forever and bring many others to enjoy Him.
