From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. The chief only left delaney in charge because he felt guilty after delaney had earlier accused him of playing favoritism towards house 51. Otherwise Casey was the only choice

@@benmackarel295 I don't think so did you see firehouse 20 their fire trucks were inside and 51 they should park their fire trucks by the side walk by the street so they should not cause a traffic but Boden is right they are guest of firehouse 20 and Capt. Delaney is in charge you have cooperated with him but no fighting or say something they regret it you have to share.

I also love how Kelly, & Casey back up each other & stick together but I also really like how Herman, Truck, & all of Kelly's Squad Brothers back Him & Casey up also. A TRUE BROTHERHOOD 👍 And honestly I'm not a huge fan of Boden jumping all over Casey here in this particular situation instead of standing up for his guys.

Fun fact: Robert Bogue (Captain Delaney) and Eamonn Walker (Chief Boden) worked together in “Oz”. Walker played Kareem Saïd, a Muslim leader who in season 4, helped Jason Cramer (Bogue), an openly gay convict, to get his murder conviction overturned.

I guess Captain Delaney is wrong because it doesn’t matter Which fire company Reaches the scene first right? Whether it’s 20 or 51 they both have the same purpose to protect Chicago.

Yes and no, the argument wasn't about what needed to be done but rather who had command. And command typically goes to the first due units unless a higher ranking officer shows up to relinquish command (such as a chief). It is implied that Delaney wanted command to boost his own image/career with little to no concern over what's best for the victims on scene. He would rather bicker over who has command than worry about helping the victims. That is a big no no as that should be the last concern when dealing with victims on scene. That is why there is the chain of command and protocol for who should have command of a scene; so things like this shouldn't happen.

Brett being there to give Casey emotional support especially after the other person died on that accident was so sweet and Casey was getting all twinkle eyed and brett showed her sweet smile . We need more scenes lol

I agree I couldn't of said it any better myself. Except maybe Sweetheart SEVERIDE! Because he Really is the Sweetheart Of 51 . It's clear to see that he really cares about his job & RISKING IT ALL to save as many people's Life's as he can . Anna was a perfect example of Kelly's Caring for others well being. When he went through a lot of hurt & pain back on season 5 by donating his Bone Marrow so he could try to help save Anna 's life even though he was injured & in the hospital from A massive fall out of a two story - window at the time. Really a true GOOD GUY 💖

I don’t see the big deal over first off about the parking, obviously when other volunteer companies hang out at my firehouse after we train together in the evenings at our local training facility, they park on the street with hazards on or use the elementary school parking lot right nearby, but of course I mean I don’t know how busy that street in the video was but my firehouse is in a residential neighborhood also next to an elementary school so yeah! But Hermann has a point, idk what Delaneys problem is about being first on scene and making the local media outlets, saving lives is more important! If he’s worried more about publicity than saving a human life then firefighting isn’t for him!!!

This here is just sad to watch. If it's not firefighters clashing with police officers then it's firefighters clashing with each other. Given that they all serve the community and risk their lives on a daily basis you would think they could all get along but no.

Realistically speaking here, Squad 3, Truck 81, and Engine 51 are in the wrong here and would need to be parked in the street or an auxiliary location as this is not their first due area. Captain Delaney has every right to have them move the apparatuses elsewhere.

I tell you what captain Delaney has an engine but Casey has a whole truck so I don’t get how he is more incharge because engines don’t have an aerial ladder if needed. So yeah

He’s not “more in charge” because of his rig (Engine vs Truck,) but he is a captain, same rank as Casey, and 20 is his house. On a call, command would go to the most senior officer on scene, if 2 officers of the same rank are present, command stays with whoever showed up first. In this case, it sounds a lot like Delaney has an issue with Casey, maybe because Casey is younger, or gained his rank faster, or didn’t relinquish command on a call, who knows.
