Hi Sharon, I can't imagine living in 100+ heat. It certainly was a great sewing time. I love your dresses. that fabric you used for the drop waist dress is just fabulous. Your sister and daughter are so fortunate to have you sew such nice things. The dress form blowing over in the wind made laugh every time!

Thank you Melanie! Oh my goodness, the weather has been so unbearable. Everyone has been pretty sympathetic to us, knowing that this is only our fourth summer here in Texas. But they assured us this is not normal. Every time there’s a chance of rain we start praying that it comes our way.

Bhahahaha! You have no idea… I’ve often said if there’s a mistake that can be made in sewing, I have done it. If I haven’t done it yet it’s coming 😂 BTW Michelle, I consider you an experienced sewist 😀 Isn’t that fabric amazing! I know FabricMart fabrics had some also but it’s sold out fast.
Thank you! Surprisingly, I did NOT need an FBA on the Edgewater Dress. The size medium (what I sewed) is for a bust 36" to 38", with a finished bust measurement of 40-7/8", so almost 3" of ease. I found with the fabrics I used an FBA was not needed. If I were to sew this in a stable knit, like a ponte, I would need to add the FBA.
Hi Amanda! I have a subscription, have for many years. I THINK JoAnn may carry single issues, there are also a few online fabric stores that carry single issues (maybe The Confident Stitch is one? I can't recall now for sure).
