reformation des sex pistols en 2007 à l'occasion du 30 ième anniversaire de la sortie de leur album "never mind the bollocks"...god save the queen lors du concert de brixton academy à londres le 10.11.2007
What a tune. I don’t care what age you are, if listening to that doesn’t get your adrenaline pumping, you’re as well dead. The ‘no future’ lines sent a chill down my spine. Power, anger, authenticity. Superb 😎
The Sex Pistols are performing to some kids who's parents or grandparents remember when this first came out. John Lydon spreading the message over generations
Time to go to specsavers for you my friend, most of the crowd are clearly middle aged and obviously were teenagers in the 70s. Yes there're some younger people there but most are the same age as the band
Not a Brit. I’m from the country that threw England out 200 years ago. But we loved the Sex Pistols - Rotten old Johnny, Steve, Paul, Glen and later Sid. In my sixties now but grew up rebellious as hell listening to this glorious shit. It sounds fucking wonderful still!
Yall can't denied how amazing the Sex Pistols were..the fact that they became one of the most influential punk rock band with just only ONE ALBUM just proves it
The first punk band to release an album was The Damned. They also released the first punk single. The Damned were kicked off the Anarchy in The UK Tour because as Malcolm McLaren stated "The Damned were far better musicians than the Sex Pistols"
I saw them in Melbourne Australia in 1996,I will never forget it ,I was searched for weapons as i entered there were bikies ,gangster looking dudes. Then after the back up band was finished and they came on ,I will never forget the raw energy and fighting that was going on around me, but it never bothered me as I just felt part of the crowd strangely,The Sex Pistols just brought everybody together.
@@damianb2374 That's questionable, considering there's nothing "prissy" about punk culture. In fact, it's opposed to that, revolving around being loud, free and rebellious, so it's best if you don't criticize people's music tastes because you don't like it yourself, k?
And what?Living off the fat of the land. While people live on the dole and your country is inundated by people who don't care about your values. Same thing with America now. Maybe we should have just stayed a colony. Maybe you should go back to listen to the kinks. At least I have a chance to shoot an idiot coming at me with a meat cleaver. You get to fight them with a plastic spoon. For now at least. Better find yourself a stick before they ban them.
So different from when he was young, slouching and hanging on the mic stand, clearly aggravated and annoyed. But his whole demeanor is different now, lol
Amazing to see all ages, all types, rocking out and singing along! 30 years after the fact, people are still totally relating to the angst and rebellion of this!
For only having one album the Pistols cemented themselves in punk history and got everyone singing along decades later. Most bands only wish they had that kind of shake of luck. Johnny rocks
passed me by in the term im a soul boy..mates were punks so i respect all this..as a nation we havnt changed..born into aggro..football terraces and the fooking tories...god save madge I shit her man
John has an ailing wife he is caring for - he is an intensely loyal man. So if his wife passes he might. But not until then. He won't put his wife in nursing care. He is doing it all himself.
From the states: we very much dig the UK. I saw the Pistols on some award show in 75 and me buds were blown away. We did not know that this UK band birthed Punk Rock.
This should have been re-released for the 70th anniversary. Like I said a year ago, this remains so relevant today. Instead of all the pomp and crap of waving plastic flags and street parties just listen to this people of the UK. Brilliant, just brilliant. Thank God for the pistols.
Agree...and spending our money on opulence, frippery, extravagance and a luxurious lifestyle whilst children go hungry. Fuck her, her family and all of those who allow this obscene indulgence.
Listening to the Pistols changed my life back in the 80s when I got interested in music and they still have. Steve Jones is a brilliant guitarist by the way not only for the punk being.
His guitar is so much the critical element sonically of the Pistols. That “Panzer Division” power. Not fancy or schooled but powerful. The solos and fills he came up with were so spot on. For a “guy who couldn’t play” he came up with great guitar riffs.
So thankful for bands like the Sex Pistols, The Ramones, and The Damned who took the path less traveled and brought us a new era of music. It opened a lot of doors to music creation.
the pure unadulterated energy ( & frustration ) that flows thru & around the fn CROWD @ a Pistols Show...' beautiful anarchy ' ! if there is such a Thing ?
una gira más para ganar mucha lana arrastrando la fama, mentandole la madre al sistema con los bolsiillos llenos de money, viviendo y viajando como potentados.
Even though I'm part of the "new" generation and the majority of teenagers listen to rap (a style of music that I respect), the Sex Pistols had a huge impact on me. Johnny Rotten is such a big inspiration for me.
Music should reflect society as much as just having a good time. this song, without doubt, reflected a society then and does so now. In my view, it's the best song ever written by the best band ever. Music is about a feeling, a viewpoint, a movement, a thought. This does that.
Vale Chris Bailey When I say that Chris Bailey is one of the most important people in our Australian Music History, that is a massive understatement. Today's news of his passing is like losing a family member. I'm shattered and devastated. Chris came into my life in 1976, when I was supposed to be doing school homework. Listening to Sydney's JJ 1540am radio ( thanks to the Gough Whitlam government ) I heard (I'm ) Stranded by THE SAINTS. IT STILL RANKS AS ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDS I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY 61 YEARS ON THE PLANET. (I'm ) Stranded by THE SAINTS was released before New Rose. Chris Bailey was extremely intelligent with an acidic wit, not many, if any, could match him. From reports I've heard, Chris was kind, warm, sincere and generous. A beautiful spirit gone way too young. I think he had a great time whilst he was here on Earth. Not many people can do what he did. He was a Punk Pioneer without even trying or even knowing that's what he was doing. Condolences to his family, friends, all his bandmates and his legions of fans and supporters
My heart goes out to John who’s wife is very ill best wishers to them both stay strong John we are all behind you and will support you every step of the way
To state the obvious, what you're watching is a band that was in existence for just 3 years, and brought out just 1 album. Now that is a unique quality 👍
