I just celebrated my first Christmas. I grew up in a tiny middle of no where congregation mostly people who were 65+. So much of this history feels “modern” to me. Like everyone around me said these exact things to me as a ‘young one’. Moved away into more up to date congregations when I was 18. Now in my early 30’s I’m constantly reminded OH YEAH, I believed that! Like I forgot that I believed that when I believed that. And now I’m like, oh gosh, I have so many behaviors I have to make sure I’m not doing because I feel like I’m property or obligated etc. I’m so happy to have found you!!! It’s wonderful to have a not male take on things.
Where to even begin! My dog heard it was not suitable even for dogs and cats and proceeded to walk out of the room. 🤣 He came back and laid beside me eventually, but when he heard some fart noises towards the end he looked up at the TV and got all excited. 😂😝 Best use of “that’s what she said” by the way!! Adam and Eve were not told to be fruitful and multiple. That is in Gen 1 which is a totally separate account of creation. I know literalists like to merge it into part 1 and part 2 but the order of creation pre Adam and Eve in Gen 2 is different. But then accepting 2 accounts (one Elohim creating and the other YHWH) means admitting it is not literal....
