LMAO, fair play to Kayne, I like the sportsmanship and respect he had for Akainu, giving him props for the insane reactions. That's what the FGC should be all about. Great match!
This was an AMAZING match, it both showed off top use of the entire drive system, as well as moments of just old fashioned footsies, and some amazing reads with supers.
i've starting learning fighting games with the analog and never stoped since !! with time I started to use the d pad but only for some few inputs who needs precision like dash or dp for example.
thanks a lot for this video. I would have loved to be able to see the pools, or at least the top8 before knowing who was in grand final. Impossible to find such videos though ;'( Anybody knows where to find them?
Beginner question. Considering this is a tournament, isn't it less than ideal for them to be sitting right next to each other? I mean you could quite literally see and hear what your opponent is doing right next to you, so something like wake-up DP could be easily predicted?
It is but that's just an element of some tournaments and harkens back to the old days of playing on arcade machines. For example if you look at the video from EVO moment 37 with jwong and daigo. Jwong is mashing the buttons on his fightstick trying to get daigo to miss a parry because of the racket. Also people will sometimes have fake buttons (a real button but it's not connected to anything), button dampeners, or some buttons dampened and some not, or purposely tap buttons extra loudly. Other tournaments are different and have the fighters separated.
That is in no way a thing that happens.. they both wear headsets to hear the ingame noise well, so they dont hear anything around them plus shit happens in frames of a second so your eyes are locked on to your opponents character at all times. Plus these guys are so fucking fast that you dont even have time to look down to look at inputs. There would be no advantage for the person looking away from the screen with this game. Especially on this level of skill.
Great set!!! However, no reason for this bracket should have been reset. Kayne parried to many of Guile projectiles full screen. That's ok in the neutral (wait for the projectile, so you get a clean jump in) but full screen parrying you just wasting meter and putting yourself in burnout for nothing. When Ken has a projectile himself.
alguien me explica como se hizo campeon si guile gano mas partidos como es el sistema para definir el campeon no entiendo si alguien me aclara seria genial gracias
Out of learning purposes. Doesn't Ken still have tatsu invincible move? Or is that just, Ryu? I also think ex Shoryuken might in close range. But.. I am not sure as I don't have the game yet.
This Guile lacks consistency, especially with his Flash kick, there was a bunch of time were he could use it and not losing several round doing so. Also the lack of perfect parry, and variety of attack pattern make it very predictable. Yeah I know some of you may tell me that it how Guile must be played, but I'm sorry, the variety of attack pattern can be achieved with him too, and further more with more accuracy.
I just don't see the appeal in street fighter. Every time I consider getting it, i see all the spam/zoning. I'll just stick to Mortal Kombat. Even though it has its fair share of spamming, I feel it's a bit more fast paced
