Listen if you're a Shit bag, Lazy, or you're not a motivated Soldier, PLEASE, I am begging you, don't Join because of the Promotion rate! Soldiers like that are the one's that make Units Trash! But anyway, I would like to start off by saying this is my experience and my experience only while being in SFAB, so Please don't take what I'm saying and use that as a reason not to "JOIN" or "SUBMIT" your Packet..... Solider's are getting accepted or denied based on a number of things but still put in your packet! I would even tell you that the rate that people are leaving because it's there time to go, that there is a "STRONG" possibly that SFAC will fill some slots with SPC(Specialist) but again I don't see that happening, unless their packet was sent to the board and the board members selected the Specialist based on how Perfect their SRB look. For example a GT score of at least 100, high APFT score, while serving in an NCO slot. You don't need to have a 100 GT score to submit a packet but as a SPC your chances will be better. That was just an example. The breakdown of the Teams are different as well and you may or may not go to a Team. You may go to the Support Battalion or you may work at the Battalion in another slot other than a Team slot. For example there are a lot of Commo slots, so while you may want to work on the Team, working on a Team and at the Battalion will be great either way. The Teams are 12 man Teams! On the CAT (Combat Advisor Team) you have your Commander, 1SG, Team Leader, Senior Support Advisor, Ops Advisor, Communications Advisor, Logistical Advisor, Medical, Fires, EOD, Intel, and Maintenance Advisor. I was responsible for daily pick ups at the SSA, updating Sub hand receipts, receiving Property, Inventorying Property, maintaining Clothing records, basically all CSDP stuff in regards to being Supply. It was the same on the deployment as well but it was wayyyyyyyyy more work on the deployment. Also don't Join SFAB just because you think it's cool or because you're a lazy individual. SFAB is a high uptempo Unit, so some days you will be working non stop and other days you will be chillin, especially if you're a Medic or Mechanic. PT for sure is a must! Some Teams go to the gym but with COVID and the gyms being closed, everyone is doing group/organized PT, every single day!!!!!!!
