Do you think you could figure out just how big GLaDOS is? Like, compare models to see what size everyone is?

@@mrukman2006 yeah, that makes no sense to me. Leds come in different sizes, so unless you pick the right size, and then you take the long amount time to use something as small as an led for scaling, you won't get the right answer. Also, you need blender and the models. If you could just compare ingame models (like use Chell for scale, who's 6,4) you could get it much faster. However I can't do so because I don't have blender or the models.

In most Portal 2 animations (at least the ones i watch), GLaDOS has an extendable screen that either comes from the ceiling or floor. So yeah

I am pretty sure the first thing she would do is see with her own eye, not checking every remaining camera in the facility

the entire facility was in a standby state until GLADOS was started back up, so she would not have been connected to those cameras until she started them back up

Let’s just assume all of those cameras are either broken or damaged, or that glados didn’t interface with the facility during the first few minutes of activation as it got its bearings

Thank you for showing me that there are other people on here who understand that AI don’t operate the same as people. To the average player, Glados’ “body” is just the big shell in front of them. They don’t realize the entire facility acts as her body.

She definitely wasn’t lying. You can hear it in how she tells you. She has a LOT of resentment in the early chapters.

The other logos were updated but GLaDOS' remained the old one? There's no way to know anyway.

But GLaDOS was activated somewhere in the early 2000s, wasn't she? No way for the old Aperture logo to still be used then.

@@leDespicable Yep. Caroline's counciousness was downloaded around the mid to late 90s. But it took them a few years to make it so it wouldn't want to kill everyone in the first half a second. The operational GLaDOS with attached personality cores to regulate behaviour, was proabably turned on once the aperture scientists heard the news of black mesa (being over run by a multi dimensional empire which was hunting for most advanced earth technology - especially teleportation technology), in the hopes she wouldn't want to kill them and with the objective of getting her to keep the facility secured. Which she did. She says so herself, she kept Aperture safe and the combine out. But she was still murderous and killed all the remaining scientists.

The current logo was created in the 90s, when GLaDOS was activated in 98

Well, she was not just watching it. She had to relive it completely, its just hard to show what see would have seen, as she is in every part of the facility as an AI. not just a few cameras

I believe when Chell is being carried around she's just sorta floating, since the player can't move the camera at that point. So it'd look a bit strange to watch it from any other perspective.
