Hot Chic is the perfect food plot mix to plant in those backwoods, hard to get to areas that are semi-shaded! Hot Chic can be planted with or without equipment in the Spring or late Summer and provides high levels of nutritious forage on a year round basis.

Hey love your stuff. I have about 3 different varieties I’m planting at my new new 40 acre homestead. I have a spot similar to this, would you recommend trying to get a cutting in if at all possible? I could probably get a small mower back in there if you’d recommend it.

If the deer don't keep it mowed for you, you can for sure mow it. We've had people mow it monthly and also some just mow it 2-3 times a year. It just depends on your situation.

Would this be okay for a plot that sometimes gets extremely wet? Like mines in a marsh but not wet enough to be considered swampy.

It's hard to say, but the best mixes we've found to plant in regularly damp soil conditions would be Hot Chic, Sugar Momma and Bombshell.

Do you think it would do anything in complete shade some spots of sun light that is about a foot wide

What’s the area look like? If it’s an area that can be planted early in the spring, before canopy develops it can establish well and then handle more shade…but it does require some sun to get roots established and germination

@@domainoutdoor it get spotty sun throughout the day 4 or 5 foot wide spots but they move around when leaves are on and soli is pretty moist can't get any kind of equipment to it and it's a mile from the house so can plant it anytime

@@haiden_07 pretty good canopy right now even? If so, maybe a couple trees removed would open it up perfectly!

@@domainoutdoor no leaves on right now when the leaves are on looks about like it does in the video

@@haiden_07 ok awesome. If there are no leaves now…I would get in and take all leaves and debris away…rake in fertilizer and pelleted lime (if pH is below 7) and broadcast hot chic!

When did you lay down 10 10 10

You will for sure want to put some down before planting. You can also add some once the plants are established if the plot looks like it needs a little big of a boost.
