When I first played this game, I thought it was cool to see Omega again after he first appeared in Sonic Heroes. But overall, I finally beat Shadow The Hedgehog up to 100% and I had a lot of fun playing it and it was worth it.
ask yourself one thing: if you are an android, why on earth would Eggman program shadow's memory in to you? even if he could do that, why would he? it wouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Also, all the things you just remembered happened during moments where Eggman wasn't even physically present. he could not have do that.
shadow: I didn't collect them to hand them over to you. I collected them to destroy you! me I thought you are collecting them to uncover your past not destroy Eggman
To be fair, unlike the other endings, this one has Shadow definitively accepting a truth about himself before the end of the route and thus didn't need all 7 Chaos Emeralds to learn about himself anymore and thus decided to use them to destroy his "creator". Also in response to your other comment on "Shadow Android" having the original's memories, don't forget that this isn't an Android but the actual Shadow with amnesia and thus was gaslighted by Eggman into thinking he was an android and actually believed it.
Mecor91 ...taking place after Heroes might actually also explain why the President was so dang willing to believe Shadow was here to save, rather than destroy
