The reason why Shalltear is being so weird is because she’s been on a sort of self-imposed probation since she was mind controlled. That’s why she’s being all pen and paper. Remember when the demon Jaldabaoth was “attacking” the capital and Demiurge specifically told Shalltear and no one else to not go nuts and stay in her lane.

Demierug's interpretation of Ainz's conquest of the empire is basically "Do better" My man had a 3 months long plan to control it, Ainz stumbles around and takes it in 3 days and Albedo just there showing off her man to the one guy she hates working with.

demiurge was doing his plan to take over the empire through revelion but it would take 3 years to do it, if he asked ains for help he could do it in 3 months and here ains stumbles and does it in 3 days well 2 days cos he was delayed 1 day cos the merchant didnt want to see him that day so technically he did it in 3 days but actually was 2
While I personally vibe with shalltear's debauchery, I support cocytus because Ainz is a hard skeleton and cocytus's body is a hard chitinous exoskeleton. Shalltear is welcome to sit on me while she sulks though.
The thing is Demi is regularly updating Ainz about all of his plans and constantly asking for permission to do stuff through those reports we saw in episode 1. The problem is Ainz does not really understand all this complicated politics so he only skims through Demis reports and approves all of Demis actions by singning those reports without reading through them properly.
yall probably wondering why ains is always leaving his kingdom .. well think about it he wants to 1 relive his times as an adventurer and 2 be left alone of relatively so to do what he wants cos he is stressed from playing the overlord role if he could he probably would just leave on his own for years at a time
Enchanting an object with YGGDRASIL's Tier Magic is more efficient. But, the spell doesn't last forever. But with Runecraft, the effect is permanent. And, as Gondo mentioned, Runecraft is cheaper. Among demihumans, the Quagoa aren't so impressive. As far as technology goes, they are even lower than the Lizardmen. Their race doesn't even have magic casters. And their resistance ONLY extends to metals. They'd take normal damage from anything else, and have a certain racial weakness.
Yeah but with the Quagoa being sentient and organize it’s not so far fetched to think they can become more powerful with better metals or smart enough to start learning magic, I mean they were strong and or smart enough to make the dwarfs retreat and smart enough to plan and strategize to take the new dwarf city and not let any dwarf get away, maybe we can se a quagoa that can eat Yggdrasil metals and become op or cast magic or something
Nah put respect on RH lol! Ainz cleared him with the most peaceful death. No scars or harm done to his body. With Clementine he purposefully took his time to make sure she felt fear as she flailed around chipping teeth and then the slow back break which was painful af. One was Ainz showing respect to a warrior and the other was Ainz being mad petty lmao.
Many NPCs sees Shalltear as problematic even before the brainwash incident. Even Aura can't help to react too at first. She was built on one purpose: to kill. She has no other skills and spells that isn't about combat. Demiurge in the cut content in this conversation with Albedo even question if Ainz's expedition to the Dwarven Kingdom is really diplomatic and not a manslaughter because Shalltear was deployed. Even Sebas from season 1 had a cut conversation but was later added in recap movie that he questioned Shalltear's ability for the mission to CAPTURE people with Martial Arts. She was so triggered that she wanted a deathmatch asap. Violence was her answer as she can just win any argument by force. Adding the Blood Frenzy her creator added on her to make her this deadly but unfortunately made things worse. The brainwash incident broke her badly that not only she can't make her duty right but also Ainz beat her ass despite being in a bad matchup that shows to everyone that her build ain't that impressive at all. So yeah, Albedo and Demiurge put her on a very safe and mundane tasks to avoid any further incidents. She's been very desperate to prove herself again ever since.
retouching the last fight ains was so debuffed he has a natural skill that stops him from getting any damage from anything half his level so he had to cancel that skill just to let the ogre damage him like ains said he is level 100 it would be like rocklee figting a 5 yearold even if he tied both arms and both legs he could still kick the crap out of the 5 year old by just head butting
Shaltear is not exactly dumb, or her inteligence stat is low, the problem is her skills, when she have contact with too much blood, she goes berserk and turn into a ancient vampire, like she did when she hunted Brain and his people, that's why nobody in nazarick gives her jobs outside from fighting, afraid that she will go berserk and fail, Ainz is giving her this opportunity to gain experience and find ways to not go berserk, the anime didn't explain any of this, also she fought the quagoa using her armor and lance, because the lance absorb blood and turn it into HP for her, by doing this she wanted to avoid her berserk skill from activating by getting in direct contact with blood.

Avoid to use it with people above your hierarchy. -Boku: "I" for (mostly) males. Semi-formal, humble. -Atashi: "I" for females (mostly young). Informal. -Uchi: "I" for females. Informal, not-cocky, but has the same informality as "Ore", so be careful while you use it. I read it's used for young girls in Tokyo and for older women in Kansai, I'm not sure though. There are more ways, but I think those are the common ones.

@@franciscoOrellana29 Have things been cut? yes. That will always be the case, especially when you try to fit 3 LN as big as Overlord volumes into 13 episodes. Would I love to see 1 LN get a 12-13 episode series? With some anime no, with Overlord, you could do it, but given that they haven't in any of the previous seasons, it's wrong to expect that here. For what they have to work with, I think they're doing a good job of "boiling it down to the essentials of the story and getting the bits in they need to.

When they first met him, he was using 6-th tier magic to create a cold breeze, used magic on such a high tier that they didn't even know what it was just to freeze the lake, had a royal procession, and then used 4-th tier magic just to tell them to send someone out to talk, all to announce that they were about to be attacked again. If that happened to me, I'd believe him.

Bonus explanations for things that have either being skipped or poorly explained. (No spoilers) Albedo thought that Ainz was not satisfied with Demiurge's plan because he would say "Do we have any news from Demiurge ?" or "Would doing that cause problems ?" when in reality Ainz was just freaking out and thinking he's going to do a huge mistake with the Vassal State thing. The anime kinda undermine how surprised Demiurge was. It went something like that Demiurge : Taking over the Empire before the Kingdom would have required to asking help from Ainz-sama which would be a shame for us his subordinates. It would have taken at least a month, also a huge uprising in a major city...How much time Ainz-sama needed ? Albedo : I wasn't here so I don't know the details, but it took 3 days *Demiurge widens his eyes. It was way too fast. How did he managed to overpower the Emperor and break his will when he was ready to ally himself with other countries ?* Albedo : And for your information, there was no casualties. *Demiurge wasn't even able to close his opened mouth. He had nothing but respect for their Supreme Ruler. A shiver ran through his body. Exultation, envy, fear and reverence melted together to torm an emotion who made his whole being tremble.* Demiurge : As expected from our Master. I can't compare to him. He really is peerless, nobody else could have led the Supreme Beings. I'm rather envious to Pandora's Actor to be honest. Ainz doesn't try to steal the lizard kid in the LN, but he did asked Zaryusu if lizardmen would like to live in a City. Right now, Zaryusu think they would rather still live here, which prompted Ainz to ask waht about his future children, and Zaryusu answered a little angry if Ainz was going to forcefully take his kids. Ainz calmed him down by with something along those lines "No, I'm not going to do that. I'm trying to build a Country where every races woud live in peace so as a start I was thinking of something like an area where humans/lizard/goblins/etc children could play together". The LN and anime doesn't tell us why Cocytus was happy that Ainz sat on him. But if you remember, S1EP2 when Demiurge was thinking that Ainz should have an Heir just in case if he ever leaves Nazarick, Cocytus liked a lot the idea. In the LN when the discussion took place, he LOVED the thought of giving piggyrides to the child (he would also like to teach them how to fight and being called Uncle). Ainz has no idea what Cocytus was thinking here and seriously hoped it wasn't a sexual thing like how his species reproduce or Cocytus being a masochist. Ainz theorized that Gondo's "lack of talent" is because he reached his Level Cap. In order to unlock the Job Class Runesmith, Gondo must have raised 10 levels in certain job classes (like Blacksmith or Weapon/Armor Smith) and it unlocked Runesmith LV1. But his maximum level is probably 11 so he cannot improve further his new class. Ainz thinks there's nothing he can do to help him with that and decide to stay silent about this because the Dwarf might not take it well if a stranger tell him that.
I would love for you guys to give yourself the opportunity to read the novels, I would like to see that. Your discussions and points of view are very entertaining to listen to and it would be great if you could have the full picture of the dialogues and intentions of the characters that the novel explains much better, the anime goes quite fast and leaves a lot of content out
clementine survived her encounter because A) she was facing 'Momon', B)Ainz wanted to learn from her, and C) he wanted her to suffer. he was 'playing with his food'. by comparison the other referenced fight was with someone he had no wish to harm. so he just zeroed him. (in a manner that, I've been indirectly told, required quite the bit of skill at time-management. just so that's said)
Albedo didn't ask Demiruge if he didn't think that the only way to make the Empire offer themselves as vassals to Ainz was for the Kingdom to do so first, in the light novel she instead says for the kingdom to be destroyed first and then thinking the Empire would submit themselves out of fear of being targeted next. Idk why the anime rephrased it differently so ya perhaps this was a translation issue in the animes subs because Albedo and Demiurge never said they intended on having the Kingdom as vassals unlike the Empire who they were glad to take in

This is just my opinion based on my observations but cocytus just wants to learn how to give piggy back rides so that he can give piggy back rides to the future child of Ainz. (mentioned in previous seasons...iirc season 1) The only problem is that cocytus is a little dumb and can sometimes misunderstand things.
There isn't an intelligence stat per say. Well there literally was no int stat in the game. The NPC's intelligence come from their backstories AKA Flavor text/Settings. Shalltear appears dumb because her flavor text is basically a looo~ng list of fetishes.
Now that you guys talked about it, clementine actually regretted wearing that weakass armour, she was just playing around so she didn't equip her normal gear at that time.
i think most people will miss the fact that demiurge came in and didnt greet albedo eventho she is his superior didnt report anything to her he didnt even say her name at first im not saying this is a huge thing just pointing something out
nazarick is ultimately a very egalitarian place and the main floor guardians do not use a polite formula linked to the hierarchy. we have never heard cocytus albedo or shaltear talking to each other as if one was superior to the other
he isn't a total genius but he is not dumb either, he is above average, he is a fucking guild leader where a game which information is also weapon, of course the guild wouldn't put a dumb person in charge of one of the strongest guild in the game.

i think we all seen the opening so we know what shaltear does with the cute doggos ..... even if you ddint read the lightnovel the opening of the show is a big spoiler of volume 10 so im guessing volume 11 will be the movie coming up around christmas or early next year thats gonna be something everyone loves the holykingdom arc cant wait to see demiurge go full out

I'll leave the spoiler line - I'm going to quickly talk about the different armour types in Overlord, specifically Clementines, but also relevant to the two ninjas from the Blue Roses .. bit more. When you see really stupid looking armours - bikini armour and stuff that should offer no protection at all. That armour is directly from a previous player transported to the new world. The stupid looking armour is the videogame armour and probably the best in the world. Almost all the sensible looking armour was made by people in the new world.
