We have such great food in New York. I love your videos, but really wish you would branch out more. Eating at dives in Times Square doesn't represent the city well. Martin is right, try some different places next time. :)

Dare I say this....DIVERSIFY! New York must be full of all sorts of styles of good and you're being the typical Brit sticking to the same old same old. I'd love to see you reviewing other stuff. Would love to see you eat Cajun. Shrimp or crab boil, jumbalaya, po'boys, gumbo, fried chicken. Not that I've ever tried these myself. I have a wonderful friend in Louisiana - I'm fascinated by what she eats. She made a jumbalaya when we met up in Port Isaac - brought the rice and spices all the way over with her. Basically though.....anything other than the stuff you've got in a rut with. 💖

Think you need to listen to Martín and go to his suggestions for food 😂. When you get back to the UK you should try the Dambusters pub in scampton Lincolnshire where the red arrows used to be based but it holds a lot of history. Which i know you like Always busy for Sunday lunch there. But have to say love Martín on your vlogs!

We went to The Burger Joint on your recommendation and really enjoyed it - I didn’t tell my partner or show him your video and he couldn’t over it and where it was 😊 You definitely need to do the Polar Bear Plunge and if not come to St Ives and do the Boxing Day Dip

Blimey Lee it was almost 2 dollars to the Sterling way back in 2004, sooo cheap to shop in the USA. Food was still crap even then. Except for Italian quarter in Manhattan. Couldn’t believe the price of those burgers. Way way too much salad for me and I’m the same as Martin, I don’t like mayonnaise and yet they automatically put it on. A burger should overpower any lettuce etc but this was the complete opposite. 1/10 I’m afraid buddy on this one. Thank you both for sharing. I love the banter between you guys.

Just before Christmas 2019, a mate of mine took his family to New York, some 25 years after he'd last been, then to celebrate his 21st birthday. Back then, he'd come back waxing lyrical to the point of being irritating about how wonderful America was, how great and cheap the food was, and so much better than in the UK! Then, in 2019, he came back complaining how expensive and of poor quality he felt American food had become! Don't know whether it's a New York thing or not but his opinion had definitely changed!

Next time you’re in the city check out Paul’s Da Burger Joint on 2nd Ave. Used to be called Paul’s Palace back in the day. Little hole in the wall but best burger in Manhattan.

Try the food courts in nyc they have very good quality food courts with all different types of cuisines. Or you could try food in Brooklyn where they have good quality food at a cheaper price.

Hi lee, next time your in Cardiff , go to Hayes Island take-away in the city centre. . Freshly made burgers , sandwiches, breakfast rolls. Coffee to die for.. Owned by a local family .. 5 star hygiene . Fast service ,staff are absolutely incredible. FANTASTIC value. LET'S GO.....

I heard the Silver Fox mention a Cuban restaurant. I went to one Called Havana, just off Times Square. It was fantastic food. I had pulled pork and it was stunning!

It's no secret, food isn't that good here. In fact, there are lots of things here that aren't that good. That being said, the reason I love it here is that there are loads of opportunities, especially for my kids, both who have got great jobs ( with excellent medical cover) and will soon be getting on the housing ladder. The UK is far too crowded, and property is way way too expensive.

I've been to this place and it's more show than go for me. You are right there are better places. Now if you are still in the area, go to Hackensack NJ to Chubby's BBQ on S River St. They started out as a Burger and Foot long hot dog place. They've expanded to BBQ and it's always popular. Fair warning it's not cheap but good.
