It’s funny because I’m sure there are comedians who get crap from their family members like “how can you put our business all out there like that!?!” I bet Uncle Danny be like “I’m famous!”(then sneaks a bite of a grilled cheese)
You gotta understand, he hits hard but he's truly a kind person. I'd bet he would tell his uncle he loves em on camera. Just because he knows it would make their day or something
It’s why I think he’s one of the top comedians of this generation. He doesn’t whine about being cancelled, his jokes are relatable and he doesn’t need to make fun of people who don’t deserve it. Personally I like that he’s ok with saying something is retarded, or gay. It’s like listening to an older brother.
@@lawd8D well. If you are a Blade fan. Which is a movie where Wesley Snipes plays a vampire youd get the punchline. Day walker is the nick name the vampires gave Wesley Snipes because he himself was half vampire but hes able to walk in daylight.
@@angelabarnes1675 oh maybe lol...i was thinking south park. It was the Ginger episode...Gingers couldn't go out during the day, but partial gingers could so they were called Daywalkers lol
😂 it’s crazy cos my friends cousin has DS and is the sweetest kid (19)ever but then sees a pair of tits and makes the same face his uncle makes for sandwiches
@travisjones1481 its sadly a dying term the ginger community has all but forgotten. Yours is a vibrant history, a rich tapestry of culture and something or other, I dunno. The point is! That daywalker has to be introduced back into the curriculum.
@@Ryan83728 yeah bud, the joke is originally from Blade the movie. It means you carry some of the traits but not all. For instance, I have pale skin and freckles, but not red hair. 2 outta 3 traits making me a daywalker.
I think what makes me laugh the hardest is that Shane genuinely laughs after he says "I'm making them at night" I can tell he's got a lot of love for his uncle Danny and it's a real authentic wholesome moment from his life that still cracks him up thinking about
Thats one of my favorite things about his stand-up. He just seems like a dude talking with the bros. It doesn't come off as overly rehearsed even though it is.
Knew this dude Mauricio that was a fucking riot. He was so fun and funny. And cheated every single game of Uno he played. Hard to catch him when its played fast and proper.
I can’t believe Shane Gillis was the first person ever cured of Down syndrome. Another amazing fact, Theo Von beat autism. Modern medicine sure is something.
Funny asf this kid in my class had Down syndrome AND autism, I didn’t even know it was possible but he NEVER spoke a word to anyone but me. We’ll call him Johnny, and one day this rich kid came in and read his own social security number out loud super fast and Johnny repeated the number back, he could memorize anything someone said and he goes “haha now I’m gonna steal your identity!” With an evil little laugh too, I miss him 😅 I last heard he passed away
Yup, I asked my sister to put some kids toys away yesterday. She was gone for a bit so I went to check on her and she was shoving her face full of week old popcorn we hadn't thrown out. We forgot to clean the popcorn machine and she said it's meal time lol. Food and downs syndrome weirdly don't mix well.
As someone who has downs in the family as well and just dodged it I gotta say that's one of the most accurate downs impressions. The eyes, the lips, the tongue. It's perfect
Not difficult when it nicks you. It's in you. I've noticed that in fact, people with DS in the family often have a "little bit" of it themselves. That could turn into genius quite easily. But I do think it's interesting we think of it as "all or nothing." It doesn't seem like it actually. It's a bit like Autism in that way. Having it doesn't necessarily make you dumb ultimately. It just makes it harder for you to learn/develop SOME THINGS, and meanwhile for other things, makes it easier. Thus, it easily turns into genius and you can even overcome the social skills problems and get more advanced at social skills than average. Or not. There are so many possibilities. Everyone knows for example that DS people tend to be more skilled than average at some things, for example, giving love.
DS dudes are legit though. My neighbor is my football watching buddy, we have a blast every week, its legit as hell. He doesn't even mind that I have Downs.
@@viktorbirkeland6520 Shane who? Shane Dawson? Shane Victorino? There are many different people named Shane, it's important to specify these kind of things!
The crazy part is how insanely intelligent and highly comprehensive he is. On top of being a comedic genius, he’s still one of the boys. I fucking love this dude.
I really like this guy, and I love that in the grand tradition of jesters and comics he’s talking to us about things we’re not usually allowed to talk about.
Did you hear the draven episode of Matt and Shane? They had Danny on and it’s one of my favorite episodes 😂 Danny even pitches one of his old movies and it actually sounds dope as hell 😂
Why is that? Didn't really make sense. He's talking about Downs. Isn't a Day Walker a redhead that can walk in the sun with getting burned? Unless he's making a reference to Dandy Walker Syndrome.
Bro, I legit said that about Shane before knowing he made that joke about himself. He really is the greatest. Bro now that I think about it, I could have totally heard shane say that , forgot, then thought it was me, I have no idea
As someone with a cousin that's got Down Syndrome - I don't know how, but he ACTUALLY makes the best damn grilled cheese sandwiches. What is up with Down Syndrome teens and adults having one dish that they have perfected?! He makes five cheese grilled cheese sandwiches on garlic toast. He made me self conscious because I hadn't ever thought about that until he showed me and the family always lauded me as " intelligent " just because I don't have a country yokel vocabulary. From that day on I told his parents repeatedly " Get that man in a cooking school that specializes in - well, special people with special needs. He could genuinely open up a joint that sells grilled cheeses and be the chef "
I'm guessing it might be a similar thing with autistic people? A lot of us (autistics) have sensory issues with food so we have a few foods that we can eat and know for sure we won't have issues with it. I know people with DS can have sensory issues as well so maybe that's it?
Shane is such a good comedian because his little “haha” after a good joke makes it seem like it’s more of a conversation than anything. I feel like I’m having a conversation with this guy and I’m having a good time with him.
What I love about this whole thing is his uncle’s dad’s addition. The way Shane portrays him, he’s really been contemplating where these sandwiches are coming from.
