Hmm... A fair bit of suspension of disbelief is required for this scene. In real life the geezer with the mullet would surely have a stubby on the go, and he'd have called Paul Robinson a c**t at least three or four times during that conversation
Shane’s recent return in 2022 had him potentially going into business with Paul until he delved into his past and decided he wanted to buy it outright instead. He always knew what Paul was like though, and this scene proves it.
always wondered why there's never any mention of Shane Ramsay ever since Paul's been on the show - now it makes sense. Hell, I don't know the last time Shane even got a mention since his departure. It's like he never existed. Danny and Max both have had mentions or have appeared in the last 10 years (Danny appeared 2005 and Max was mentioned when Elle and Lucas discovered Paul's half-sister Jill Ramsay in 2009. Noticed probably the first mention of Henry since his departure back in the 1980s only the other day by Daniel Robinson - Henry's skateboard that Imogen destroyed. guy Started watching Neighbours back in the very beginning in 1985 when there was a huge hype over it on Channel 7 and I watched it right up until the departure of the last 1985 character Helen Daniels in 1997 (RIP Anne Haddy) then stopped and then late 2004 there was hype over Paul's return and there happened to be a Neighbours promo at my local shopping centre and ran into Stefan Dennis himself and he confirmed that it would be worth watching if I liked shows with murder plots, affairs and all that kind of stuff. Thought he was kidding but 2005 and 2006 were the two best years of storylines I had ever seen in all that time - the Affirmacon scandal, Paul losing his leg, the 20th anniversary thing, the plane bombing, the guy who was believed to be the bomber turning up dead only a few streets away and then in the last ep Harold strangling Paul. And then the following year with Robert Robinson causing chaos (Adam Hunter gave me the creeps that's how well he played the psycho)
i just think its funny how major a part he plays in the series. so much so that a few of the milestone eps (2000, 5000 and 6000 have all revolved around him) 2000 saw his final appearance I think in 1993 when he fled after framing his brother in law for fraud 5000 saw him being trapped in a mineshaft by his psychotic son Robert 6000 saw him being pushed from Lassiter's by his wife hope 7000 follows this pattern and hope the ep is damn good. maybe he finally ends up in jail for the murder of gus cleary liked how the identity of Kate's killer was kept hidden for so long and was pretty impressed with how the man was identified as Vic Cleary (name rang a bell but forgot about the Gus Cleary thing until it was mentioned he was the one murdered on Paul's return 10 years ago - shit, its been ten years since he returned unbelievable)
Unfortunately he's lost it all again in the latest crypto downturn. Desperate to make up for losses when things didn't go his way he lost the head and entered into risky leveraging and lost everything, crippled by debt he begs Paul to buy it back off him at a knockdown price and Paul the arsehole sees his desperation and takes advantage for an even more unfair price.
I still prefer the original version of Paul from before he was married to Terri. He was such a nice guy. Then they turned him into a twirly mustache irredeemable bad guy cliche.
What's wrong with being a Laborer ffs hardly the most insulting insult to warrant a smack in the mouth. Neighbours was scripted by crap writers even back then.
Labouring is potential hard work and not as interesting as other jobs, but some people, including me, do that work 'cause for their own personal reasons, they don't have much choice workwise.
There were three Ramsay siblings; Max, Tom and Madge. Shane is Max’s son and Charlene is Madge’s daughter. Shane is meant to be about 58 at the time of his 2022 return, but the actor playing him is four years older.
