My Sisters use to bump Shanice cd in the car this song has always stuck with me. Her voice is so beautiful. I'll be 30 in a few days and going back in time is bitter sweet.
Her self titled album is so dope it should have gone 2x platinum and this joint had potential to be hit on the Billboard R&B chart and Hot 100 and go platinum. LaFace really did her wrong
Shanice never really got her props this was by far her best album to me I think it had to do a lot with her mom managing her that her career didn't go as far

There is a slow song titled similar to Never Changing Love that's on the "B" side of the I'm Cryin single cassette lol (yep showing my age) that I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE!!!! I've been looking for YEARS! I played it SO MUCH I had to buy it a couple of times! I STILL have the cassette in my storage. 😄 I just want to find that doggone song!!

I Do believe the song you’re talking about is called “ summer love”! It was the b-side to her first single “ baby tell me can you dance” Definitely a rare gem cuz I believe it’s only available on the bside to the vinyl 45 record. I’ve never seen her perform that song live neither but it’s a hit 4 sure. & I think it would have done better as a single than “ tell me can you dance” I do remember hearing “summer love “ on the radio back in the day. Despite her awesome and amazing singing, she and her music are absolutely stepped on and that drives me up the wall. I made a video review in support for her third album, "21... Ways to Grow" from 1994. I gave so much detail about it in the video and ranted against the music critics, the music sites, etc. who criticized the album, gave it low reviews, and hardly any recognition at all, but I did I gave it so much positivity and love for it. JUSTICE AND RECOGNITION for "21... Ways to Grow" !!!

I agree with everyone in the comments about the laface doing her wrong with this whole album. So here’s the hot tea according to her tv one unsung episode …..they (laface records)were pressuring her to go for a more sexy image. ( I.e. showing more skin) However, due to her strong church upbringing she objected & when she didn’t bend they(laface) stopped all promotion for her album.looking back …. Laface was the ideal choice for any up & coming artist so I thought that Shanice being a veteran in the industry at this time withh hits under belt would get the respect & necessary promotion that she deserved. Unfortunately that wasn’t the outcome.😢

She did an interview on Halftime Chat channel and said the record label refused to promote it because she was pregnant. What a shame and how different things are today.
